Nabokov surrendered two goals on just 18 shots in Friday's shootout loss to New Jersey.

It wasn't a strong outing for Nabokov, who has managed only one win in his last five starts. With starter Ben Bishop (lower body) sidelined, the veteran Nabokov is expected to split time with youngster Andrei Vasilevskiy. The 20-year-old made 23 saves on 24 shots in Tuesday's win over Philadelphia and is expected to start Saturday's game against the Islanders. Considering Nabokov's recent struggles, it's very possible the former Shark takes a back seat to Vasilevskiy while Bishop is out.

Nabokov said after the team's optional morning skate that he would make the start Friday against the Devils, NHL.com's Dan Rosen reports.

With Ben Bishop (lower body) likely out until at least Tuesday, the Bolts appear set to split the weekend back-to-back starts between Nabokov and the newly-recalled Andrei Vasilevskiy, who is expected to go Saturday. Nabokov's performance has been mostly ugly when called upon this season (2.99 GAA and .893 save percentage in eight games), so if Bishop's absence proves to be longer than expected, Vasilevskiy could end up serving as the team's primary netminder.

Nabokov surrendered three goals on 21 shots, replacing Ben Bishop after the first period in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Penguins.

Bishop was forced out of the game with a lower body injury, but the extent of it is unknown at this point. If he is out for an extended period of time, Nabokov could be in line to take over the starting duties in his absence. After Monday, the 39-year-old is 3-4-1 with a 2.99 GAA.

Nabokov made 29 saves and picked up an assist in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.

It was his 353rd NHL victory, two away from tying Kings' great Rogie Vachon for 17th place on the NHL's career win list. Nabokov still isn't getting any scoring support from his teammates, but he has started to show he can brick up the twine tent until his mates actually do score. And this time, he helped out with an assist. Roll him in match-up situations. He's starting to have fantasy value.

Nabokov is on track to start Thursday's game against the Hurricanes, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Nabokov was the first goalie off the ice following Thursday's morning skate, which lines him up to start Thursday night for just the second time since Nov. 18. He will have a favorable matchup against a Carolina squad that sits 28th in the league with 2.19 goals per game and has won just three of its last 13 games entering Thursday's contest.

Nabokov was the tough-luck loser Tuesday in a shootout loss to Buffalo. He stopped 21 of 22 shots in a 2-1 loss.

Even more frustrating? The tying goal came with less than four minutes to play in the third. His game has eroded, but it's clear he can still deliver some value in select match ups. That is, if his mates also help him by actually scoring.

Nabokov will be in goal for Tuesday's game against the Sabres, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.

The first-place Lightning take on a Buffalo team that has the worst goal differential in the league, so head coach Jon Cooper decided to give regular goaltender Ben Bishop the night off and hand Nabokov his first start since Nov. 18.

Nabokov made 31 saves in a 5-2 loss to the Islanders on Tuesday night.

In better news, he did pick up a minor penalty -- oh yah, PIMs don't count for goalies. His numbers are putrid this season. Keep him on your bench.

Nabokov will be between the pipes Tuesday against the Islanders, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

With Ben Bishop making a turn Monday night against the Rangers, Nabokov will step in for his fifth outing of the season. The 39-year-old has been far from stellar with a 3.32 GAA and .874 save percentage, but the Bolts' powerful offense will usually give him a shot at coming away with a win any time he's on the ice.

Nabokov made 28 saves in a 7-4 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday night.

He's only started four games this season and he's put up decent numbers aside from the night he got pulled in Minnesota. But at this rate, he'll be lucky to get 20 starts this season. There isn't much value in that ... unless you're in a daily league.
