It seems all but certain that Ryan Miller will not be playing for the St. Louis Blues in 2014-15.

Brian Elliott's three-year, $7.5 million extension was a signal that the Blues have other plans. The Blues plan to have Elliott compete with Jake Allen for the starting gig. Miller will be a highly sought after free agent, even if his playoff run with the Blues lasted just one round.

The St. Louis Blues' acquisition of Ryan Miller didn't pay off dividends, as they lost in six games in the first round for another year (this time to the Chicago Blackhawks).

Miller gave up five goals on 27 shots in being clearly out-shined by Corey Crawford. His overall work was middling at best with the Blues and likely cost himself a good deal of money in unrestricted free agency. He went 2-4 in the playoffs and 10-8-1 in the regular season with the Blues and his individual numbers were mediocre at best.

The St. Louis Blues are hoping Ryan Miller will be a hero in Game 6 on Sunday.

The Blues are down 3-2 in their series against the Chicago Blackhawks. "We're probably gonna have to steal a game to bring this thing back, so he's gonna have to be part of the steal. He's gonna have to be one of the robbers," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said of Miller. "He's gonna have to be a big player for us. We know that. He knows that." Miller is certainly capable of that, although the Blackhawks won't make it easy. He has a 2.32 GAA and .911 save percentage in five playoff games.

Ryan Miller denied 27 of 30, but allowed an overtime goal to Jonathan Toews to fall 3-2 to the Hawks on Friday night in Game 5 and fall behind in the series.

Miller has allowed eight goals over the past three games, all losses, as St. Louis has squandered a 2-0 advantage in the series and faces elimination on Sunday in Chicago. Miller was solid on Friday night, but ultimately let through the winning goal in overtime and must win two straight to stay alive in the post-season.

Ryan Miller made one early miscue against the Blackhawks Monday, but it cost him dearly as the Blue slost a 2-0 decision in Game 3 of their opening round playoff series.

Miller allowed Chicago captain Jonathan Toews to score on a weak wrester early in the first period and although he was perfect the rest of the way, the damage had been done. All told, Miller stopped 23 of 24 shots in the defeat, but was saddled with his first loss of the postseason.

Ryan Miller stopped 23 of 26 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over Chicago in Game 2 on Saturday afternoon.

He allowed two goals on seven shots in the third period, but his teammates bailed him out with a game-tying marker with just seven seconds remaining in regulation. Miller has had some anxious moments in the series, but he has played well for spurts as well. The Blues have a 2-0 series lead.

Ryan Miller was excellent in goal for the Blues Thursday night as they outlasted Chicago to earn a 4-3 triple-overtime win in Game 1 of their opening round playoff series.

Miller allowed three goals on 42 shots in the victory, during which he played over 100 grueling minutes. Given how well he performed in this playoff opener, the Blues are certainly happy to have acquired him when they did.

Ryan Miller will be looking to get back on track in the playoffs.

"Obviously it's been a tough stretch as far as goals-against, but I don't feel like I'm in a really bad place," Miller said. "I feel like I'm in a pretty good place, honestly. ...I can compete. I just have to worry about battling and competing. It was going to be the same job no matter what. Once you get to the playoffs everybody's at zeros, so compete." He owns a 10-8-1 record with a 2.47 GAA and a .903 save percentage since joining the Blues, but he lost five games in a row to end the regular season and allowed 18 goals over that span.

Ryan Miller kicked out 18 of 21 shots in a 3-0 loss to Detroit on Sunday.

Miller allowed a goal in each period of the season finale. He's allowed at least three goals in six consecutive games and has lost of all them. The Blues have to hope that their regular season slump doesn't carry into the playoffs, especially seeing as they will face the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks in the first round.
