The Phoenix defenseman last played on March 9, having cracked a bone in his foot blocking a shot. Michalek has two assists on the season. The Coyotes will dress seven defensemen.

Michalek will skate Saturday morning and then be evaluated. The rearguard, who has two assists on the year, hasn't played since March 9.

Michalek was injured after blocking eight shots in the March 9 game. He was tied for fifth in the NHL at the time in blocked shots. He has missed the last six games for the Coyotes who miss his presence on the blueline.
