Patrik Berglund C STL 3 Days

Patrik Berglund logged just 11:01 of ice time in his return to the lineup on Monday night in Game 3.

He played with Ryan Reaves and Brenden Morrow in the contest. "You're walking into a hornets' nest and that's why we're starting him a little bit on the lower side of the roster, to see where he's at from being able to keep up mentally," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I think the first game back for [T.J. Oshie] was really rich, walking into something like that. We expect the same for Bergy." Berglund won 5-of-8 faceoffs and finished with a minus-1 rating in the Blues' 2-0 loss to Chicago.

Patrik Berglund has recorded three goals in his past two games.

He didn't have a goal in 16 straight games before this mini outburst. "I think I've been a little bit unlucky this year, too," Berglund said. "Chances have been there. They just haven't gone in. As long as I keep going and competing, especially on every shift. I have to do a good job defensively. I'll work as hard as I can to make that happen. Obviously it was nice that it paid off a little bit." He has generated only 11 goals and 27 points in 58 games this season, but it looks like he could finish the year on a positive note.
