Patrik Berglund has recorded three goals in his past two games.
He didn't have a goal in 16 straight games before this mini outburst. "I think I've been a little bit unlucky this year, too," Berglund said. "Chances have been there. They just haven't gone in. As long as I keep going and competing, especially on every shift. I have to do a good job defensively. I'll work as hard as I can to make that happen. Obviously it was nice that it paid off a little bit." He has generated only 11 goals and 27 points in 58 games this season, but it looks like he could finish the year on a positive note.

Patrik Berglund potted two goals for the Blues in their 6-2 win over the Blue Jackes on Saturday night.
Three years ago, Berglund, in his third NHL season, scored 22 goals and had 52 points -- both career highs. He hasn't approached those totals ever since, and he's disappointing again this season with only six goals and 17 points. Vladimir Sobotka (goal, assist), Alex Pietrangelo (goal, assist), Maxim Lapierre and Jaden Schwartz were the other goal scorers. Kevin Shattenkirk, David Backes, T.J. Oshie and Vladimir Tarasenko chipped in with two assists apiece.

Patrik Berglund netted a goal for the Blues, who were routed 5-2 by the Ducks on Saturday night.
Berglund is a very talented player, but that he only has two goals and 10 points is very discouraging. The Swede does have three points over his last five games, though, and is playing on a deep, balanced team. Berglund only has 39 shots on goal, so that tells us he's not doing too much to generate offense and therefore not worth considering in fantasy leagues. Jaden Schwartz potted the other goal for St. Louis.
