Andy McDonald had a plus-one rating in his return from a knee injury.

McDonald missed 10 games as a result of the injury. "He seems almost refreshed," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I think this break has given him a chance to get his energy back, and he seems to have a real jump in his stride." It wouldn't be surprising to see McDonald finish the season on a high note.

Andy McDonald is ready to go after missing 10 games with a knee injury.

McDonald has been practicing with Patrik Berglund and David Perron in what should be a good scoring line. "The plan is to play tomorrow," McDonald said Monday. "I'm feeling pretty good. It's been a difficult injury to recover from, especially for me. I rely heavily on my skating and the knee's a tricky part, you need it for everything you do. It's been tough, but I'm really exciting to be back." Get ready to activate him as he had 11 points in 18 games before his injury.

Andy McDonald will play alongside David Backes and T.J. Oshie in Saturday's game against Nashville.

"Obviously (McDonald) is as skilled as they come," Backes said. "He's a great player to add to 'Osh' and myself. Mixing things up can sometimes refocus you on the team game, and I think that's the directive there." McDonald and Backes have six points each in 10 games this season.
