Martin was suspended for Thursday's game versus the Predators after he laid an illegal hit on the Stars' Trevor Daley two nights earlier. The winger's abrasive style of play occasionally results in the league office laying down the hammer, but when he's on the ice, Martin is an asset in specialty formats. He leads the league with an astounding 318 hits and ranks seventh in PIM (114).
