Martin has been suspended one game for kneeing Dallas' Trevor Daley on Tuesday.

Martin will be forced to sit out Thursday's game against the Predators as a result of his actions in Tuesday's game. He will be eligible to return to action for the following game Saturday against the Panthers.

The impressive rate at which the Islanders are scoring obviously helps Martin's chances of adding to his assist totals, even as a bottom-six forward.
