His offensive outburst helped him put an end to his 13-game pointless drought. Machacek was very productive last season in the AHL with 50 points in 61 contests, so his eight points after 19 matches this campaign is troubling. He had nine points in 13 appearances with the Jets in 2011-12 as well, so if he can turn the corner then he could see time with the big club once the lockout is over.
