Letestu announced his retirement from the NHL on Sunday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.

The 35-year-old played 567 games and generated 93 goals, 117 assists and 90 PIM. In his announcement, he quipped that he "got a lot of time out of being a short, slow guy in a fast man's league." Letestu spent time with Pittsburgh, Columbus, Edmonton and, most recently, Winnipeg.

Based on his linemates, Letestu is likely going to be watching from the press box during the postseason, however, his ability to play center could see him slot in if an injury pops up. Without a clear spot in the lineup, there is no reason for fantasy players to utilize him in playoff pools.

Following the departure of Kevin Hayes, the Jets find themselves relatively thin down the middle, which could open the door for Letestu to be a regular in the lineup in a bottom-six role.
