Lehtonen stopped all 27 shots in a 2-0 shutout win over the Canucks on Wednesday. It was his second shutout of the season.
The goose egg improves Lehtonen's record to 12-7-5 on the year, although his numbers (2.97 GAA, .906 save percentage) are slightly worse than his career averages of 2.68 and .914. He's still one of the more talented goalies in the league and has a shot at becoming a top-10 fantasy netminder if the Stars can find a way to play well more consistently as the first half of the season winds down.

Lehtonen was the first goalie off the ice at the Stars' gameday skate and is slated to start Wednesday against the Canucks, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.
Lehtonen has alternated wins in losses in his previous four December starts, continuing a trend of rather inconsistent play this season. He'll catch a bit of a break in matching up against Canucks backup goalie Eddie Lack on Tuesday, but it's still difficult to trust him at this point. The last time Lehtonen played Vancouver, he came away with a 6-3 victory during which he faced 46 shots. It wouldn't be shocking if another barnburner broke out again Wednesday.

Lehtonen stopped 28 of 31 shots in Saturday's win over the Devils.
A good bounce-back outing for Lehtonen, who was pulled in his last game Tuesday after giving up three goals on 17 shots. The 31-year-old is now 11-7-5 on the season with a .902 save percentage and 3.10 GAA. While his rate stats aren't great, Lehtonen is a workhorse in Dallas and rarely gets the night off. He has allowed two even-strength goals or less in his last three starts and is likely to build off a strong performance Saturday. Keep him rolling.

Lehtonen has likely been stewing since Tuesday about his disastrous performance against the Jets, which saw him get pulled early after allowing three goals on 17 shots. Unfortunately, porous performances such as these have been far too common for Lehtonen, who enters Saturday's game with a 3.10 GAA and .902 save percentage over 23 games. Both of those are well below the league average, but with no reliable backup behind him, he'll continue to shoulder the load for the Stars.

Lehtonen allowed three goals on 17 shots before being pulled Tuesday against the visiting Jets.
A tough one for Lehtonen, who's now struggled mightily in three of his last four games, giving up 14 goals in that span. To be fair, the Stars' defense is absolutely atrocious; Jussi Rynnas didn't fare any better after replacing Lehtonen.

Lehtonen was hardly tested in his last start against the Canadiens three days earlier, facing only 17 shots, so the Stars will turn the net back to him without much hesitation. He'll have a prime opportunity to bring his season GAA below 3.00 on Tuesday against a Jets squad that ranks 27th in the league with 2.21 goals per game.

Lehtonen stopped 16 of 17 Montreal shots, getting the win for the Stars on Saturday.
That's the first time in the last three games that Lehtonen has managed a save percentage over .900. He didn't face that many shots, but you'll take a .941 SV% any way you can get, especially when it comes with a win.

Lehtonen will start in goal Saturday night against the Canadiens.
Lehtonen will face a tough matchup against Carey Price and the 17-9 Canadiens. The 31-year-old Finland native owns a 3.13 GAA and .903 save percentage so far in 2014-15, both of which represent drop-offs from his career averages.

Lehtonen has had a rough go of it of late, with five goals allowed in each of his last two starts and four or more in five of his last seven outings. Jussi Rynnas isn't a major threat, bu Lehtonen will continue to make for a shaky option until he puts together a couple of quality starts in a row.

Lehtonen gave up five goals for the second consecutive game Tuesday in a 5-3 loss to Toronto.
After dropping a 5-4 decision in overtime to Minnesota last week, this was not the way for Lehtonen to bounce back. The 31-year-old's difficulties getting on track this season have been hard to explain, but one thing's for sure: The Dallas defense has not been very good. Lehtonen has faced at least 34 shots in four straight games and has seen 40-plus come his way thrice in the last seven games.
