David Krejci C BOS 1 Day

Krejci potted his fourth goal of the season in Tuesday's win over the Predators.

It was Krejci's first power-play goal of the campaign, and his first point since returning four games ago from a groin ailment. Recurring injury issues have limited Krejci to just 15 games this season, but it hasn't yet resulted in a drastic downturn in his per-game production compared to a year ago.

Krejci (groin) saw 18:22 worth of ice time in his return to action in Wednesday's win over Minnesota.

Krejci, who had last suited up Nov. 18, worked on a line with Milan Lucic and Seth Griffith on Wednesday. Assuming the playmaking center is able to avoid aggravating the injury that caused him to miss the B's previous 11 games, respectable production on offense should be on tap for Krejci, who led the team in scoring last season with 69 points in 80 games.

Krejci (groin) is no longer listed on injured reserve, suggesting he'll be available Wednesday against the Wild.

When he met with the media Wednesday morning, coach Claude Julien would only say that Krejci was a "possibility" to play later that evening against the Wild, but the roster move would seem to bode well for his availability. It's still worthwhile to await confirmation from the Bruins on Krejci's status prior to the puck drop, so check back for an update when the Bruins hold their pregame warmup. Given the success the top trio of Brad Marchand, Patrice Bergeron and Reilly Smith have enjoyed of late, Krejci could be forced to settle for second-line duties in his first game back from injury.

Coach Claude Julien indicated that Krejci (groin) is a possibility for Wednesday's game against the Wild.

After being ruled out in advance of Tuesday's game against Nashville, Krejci evidently has a shot to return to action Wednesday, though the playmaking center's availability for the contest, one way or the other, may not be confirmed until shortly before game-time on Wednesday.

Krejci (groin) will not play Tuesday against the Predators, Amalie Benjamin of the Boston Globe reports.

Krejci was able to take part in the Bruins' morning skate, but he is not ready to return to game action just yet. Krejci will likely have a tough time playing in Boston's next game with the Bruins playing back-to-back nights, but he could still be activated at some point during Boston's current road trip.

When asked whether he expects Krejci (groin) to play in the Bruins' upcoming three-game road trip, which starts Tuesday against Nashville, coach Claude Julien noted, "can't guarantee, but I hope so."

In any case, Krejci is traveling with the Bruins on the road trip, so while the exact date of his potential return to action has yet to be solidified, it appears as though it could be on the horizon. After Tuesday's game, the team plays in Minnesota on Wednesday and then Winnipeg on Friday.

Krejci (groin) will travel with the team on their three game road trip.

Krejci has been bothered by a groin injury all season, but it sounds like he could get back in the lineup this week. When he returns, he'll be one of the team's top two centers once again, and one of the elite fantasy centers if he can stay healthy.
