Kopitar dished out three helpers in Saturday's 4-2 win over the Coyotes.

Now this is more like it. After registering as one of the fantasy hockey's bigger disappointments for the first two and a half months, Kopitar has now produced eight points over his last two contests, with five coming on the power play. That massive uptick in production has vaulted up his season total to a still-substandard 22 points in 31 games, but it at least gives him a fighter's chance of reaching the 70-point plateau again if he can manage a point-per-game pace the rest of the way.

Kopitar turned in a massive game Thursday against the Blues, scoring a goal and dishing out four assists -- three of them on the power play -- in a 6-4 win.

Welcome to the season, Mr. Kopitar. He'd collected only four points in the last 12 games, so Kopitar produced more offense Thursday than he had in the entire month prior. Although he'd produced a couple points over the last four games, Kopitar had managed to go an impressive minus-8 in that span, dropping him into the negatives for the season. He hasn't finished with a negative rating since 2008-98. And even with the huge evening, he still only sports a modest 19 points in 30 games on the year. This was nice, but more consistency would be nicer.

Kopitar bagged a power-play goal in Thursday's 5-3 victory over the Senators.

Kopitar sent a backhander past Sens goalie Craig Anderson to shift the momentum back to the Kings' side after the opposition had scored shorthanded just 36 seconds earlier. The tally snapped a 10-game goal drought for Kopitar, who had also gone without an assist in the previous three matches. With only 13 points in 26 games on the season, Kopitar is on track for what would be by far the worst season of his nine-year career.

Kopitar ended a five-game scoring slump with a pair of assists Tuesday in a 2-1 win over the Bruins.

Things have been awfully slow for Kopitar this year, as he's got just a dozen points to show for 22 games -- by far the worst scoring pace of his career. Not coincidentally, he's shooting at the lowest rate of his career, with just 36 shots on goal so far. We already saw Kopitar's shot rate decline last year, but it was forgivable when he scored 70 points anyway. If this latest decline persists -- and he's shown no sign of coming out of it lately -- Kopitar will be in danger of losing his elite status. But at just 27 years old and with not much history of injury, he shouldn't be seeing his skills degrade like this already. There may be an unknown factor at play here.

Kopitar picked up a pair of assists Tuesday and now has three multi-point efforts in his last five games.

Kopitar struggled at times to start the season but looks to have ironed out those issues lately. He now has seven points in his last five games after recording just three points in his first 11 games to start the season.

Kopitar scored his fifth goal of the year in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Ducks.

Kopi also fired three shots on goal and now has three goals and five points over his last four games. Despite featuring offensive weapons like Jeff Carter, Tyler Toffoli and Marian Gaborik, Kopitar is still the most gifted and dynamic scorer the Kings have, and should be active at all times.

Kopitar scored a goal and added an assist in Wednesday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks.

Just like that, the star center appears to be back on track with four points in his last two games. Kopitar struggled out of the gate with three points in 11 games, as well as missing three contests with an upper-body injury, but he appears to be finding his groove. Make sure he's active.

Kopitar had his first multi-point effort of the season with a goal and an assist Saturday.

Kopitar had just one point in his last seven games and just three points total prior to Saturday. He's off to a sluggish start offensively but you have to think he'll turn it around soon as linemate Marion Gaborik rounds back into form after returning from an injury.

Kopitar (upper body) saw 19:25 of action in his return to the ice Sunday against the Hurricanes. He didn't score any points, but won 13 of 19 faceoffs in the 3-2 defeat.

With the returns of both Kopitar and Marian Gaborik (undisclosed) to the lineup, the Kings were able to play with their top line intact for the first time since the third game of the season back on Oct. 12. Both players looked a little rusty and combined for just three shots against perhaps the league's worst team, but both figure to return to their normal level of production as they become further removed from the injuries. Prior to suffering the injury early last week and missing three games, Kopitar had been off to a slow start offensively, collecting just three points in eight games.

Kopitar (upper body) is expected to play Sunday against the Hurricanes, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.

Kopitar practiced with the team Saturday, and said he is feeling good. He's not a lock to play just yet, but it's probably best to have him in fantasy lineups unless he suffers a setback before Sunday's game.
