The Sharks reassigned Kennedy (upper body) to AHL Worcester on a conditioning assignment, David Pollak of the Mercury News reports.

Kennedy has been on IR the entire season so far with the upper body injury, but should be decently close to returning considering he's heading to Worcester for a conditioning assignment.

Kennedy (upper body) will not return from injured reserve for Saturday's game with the Sabres, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

There was some optimism Kennedy might be back in action Saturday after he took part in line rushes during Friday's practice, but the team decided he could use a little more recovery time. The Sharks could choose to activate him for Sunday's game against the Ducks, or at some point later in the upcoming week.

Kennedy (upper body) could be activated from injured reserve in advance of Saturday's game against the Sabres, Kevin Kurz of CSNBayArea.com reports.

Kennedy, who has been out since the early part of training camp with the injury, skated on the fourth line at Friday's practice, a sign he could nearly be ready to go. The forward said after practice that he's been skating for a while and feels his conditioning is up to par, but it will ultimately be coach Todd McLellan's call on whether or not Kennedy reenters the lineup Saturday.

Kennedy (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Kennedy suffered the injury early last week during practice and hasn't progressed to the point of being ready for Wednesday's season opener against the Kings. He'll be eligible to return from IR as soon as he's healthy, but the Sharks haven't provided any indication on when that might occur. His placement on IR, along with James Sheppard's, seems to have paved the way for the likes of bottom-six wingers Adam Burish, John Scott and Eriah Hayes to make the Sharks' Opening Night roster.

Kennedy exited practice today with an upper body injury and is considered day-to-day, according to Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News.

Not sure how to read this yet as details are scant, but Kennedy's draft value is low before this injury. It's hard to trust a player who has been as inconsistent recently as Kennedy and who was benched in the playoffs.

It looks like Tyler Kennedy (lower body) will have to wait until Feb. 27 before he'll return.

Tyler Kennedy is probable for Wednesday's contest.

Of course, Kennedy's chances of playing Monday looked good too and he ended up missing his third straight contest. He has 15 points and 28 penalty minutes in 49 contests in 2013-14.

Based on the Sharks' morning skate, it looks like Tyler Kennedy will be back in the lineup Monday night.

He has missed the last two games with a lower-body injury. However, San Jose bench boss Todd McLellan wouldn't confirm that Kennedy would be back. Consider him probable to return.

Tyler Kennedy (lower body) could return to the San Jose Sharks lineup as early as Monday.

Kennedy will be a game-time decision. He has missed the last two games with the injury. Kenndey has scored only once in his last 26 games and has four goals and 15 points in 49 games so his fantasy relevance is negligible at best.
