Kennedy tallied a goal and an assist in Monday's 4-3 win over the Maple Leafs.

Making his first appearance with his new club after being acquired by the Islanders on last Monday's trade deadline, Kennedy notched his second multi-point effort of the season. The 28-year-old has been limited to just 26 games this year, but his 11 points won't help most fantasy owners.

Kennedy (upper body) will debut with the Islanders on Monday against the Maple Leafs, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.

Kennedy was acquired from the Sharks Mar. 2 in exchange for a third-round draft pick. In 25 games with the Sharks this season, the winger has four goals and five assists along with a plus-1 rating.

Kennedy (upper body) resumed skating Saturday morning.

It doesn't sound like Kennedy will draw back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Panthers, but Monday's tilt with the Maple Leafs may be a realistic target for his Islanders debut. The trade-deadline acquisition had nine points in 25 games with the Sharks.

Kennedy (upper body) has joined the team on their current road trip, according to Newsday.

Kennedy had been sent back to new your to get examined but apparently all signs point to the injury not being serious. There still is no word on whether or not he will play Saturday but a return to the team should signify that he will make his Islanders debut sooner rather than later.

Kennedy (upper body) was sent back to New York Wednesday to visit with team doctors.

Kennedy was a late scratch for Tuesday's game after suffering an upper-body injury. It's possible he could re-join the team on short notice, but at this point it would appear his status for Thursday's game in Nashville is iffy. The exact nature and extent of the injury is still unclear, but there may be more news available after he meets with the team doctors.

Kennedy was a late scratch for the game Tuesday with an upper-body injury, according to Newsday's Arthur Staple.

There is no word yet on when Kennedy suffered the injury, as he was believed to be fully healthy when the Islanders acquired him from the Sharks prior to Monday's trade deadline. Obviously, this isn't an ideal start for Kennedy's stint with the Islanders, but the team appears to be considering him day-to-day at this time. Kael Mouillierat will remain in the lineup with Kennedy unavailable.

Kennedy will begin his Islander career on the second line, according to the Islanders web site.

Kennedy won't remain on the second line for long. With the Islanders suffering some injuries they need Ryan Strome to center the third line so for now Kennedy will play on a line with Michael Grabner and Frans Nielsen but this will be changed as players like Kyle Okposo, Casey Cizikas and Mikhail Grabovski come off of IR.

The Islanders acquired Kennedy from the Sharks on Monday in exchange for a conditional third-round draft pick, Newsday's Arthur Staple reports.

Kennedy, who recorded four goals and five assists in 25 games for the Sharks this season, will boost the Islanders' depth up front, though a wait-and-see approach is in order from a fantasy perspective until his linemates/role with his new team are solidified.

Kennedy assisted on John Scott's goal in the Sharks' 3-1 loss to the Flames on Wednesday.

After missing three straight games to conclude January due to injury, Kennedy has returned to provide an assist in each of his two February contests. While Kennedy's four goals and nine points in 20 games this season are serviceable by bottom-six forward standards, that level of production won't be helpful to many fantasy owners.

Kennedy looks like he'll draw back into the lineup for Monday's game against the Oilers, according to Kevin Kurz of CSN Bay Area.

Kennedy missed time again with his fourth injury of the season. This time he only missed three games, but it's been a tough season for Kennedy, who hasn't performed well when he has been in the lineup.
