Kadri scored a goal and finished plus-1 in Tuesday's 9-2 loss to Nashville. He played more than 17 minutes.
It's somewhat remarkable that he finished plus-1 in such an embarrassing loss, but there are night when he actually plays a complete game. Too bad it comes when the rest of the team looks horrendous. He has a point in each of his last two; fingers crossed this is the start of something beautiful.

Kadri picked up an assist in Saturday' s loss to Buffalo. He has just eight points in 18 games this season.
The Leafs started him on the top line Saturday, but that's not a vote of confidence. Instead, they did it to allow the emerging Peter Holland to center the second line to push Kadri. Nazzy has to pick his game in a big way to keep a grip on that second-line gig. And to keep him on your fantasy roster.

Kadri picked up two assists Saturday in a win over the Rangers. He has five points, including two goals, in his last five games.
We're hoping he can keep up some of that scoring pace, but it seems as though he'll need to stick with Phil Kessel if that's to come to pass -- his latest offence has come with Kessel on the top line. This bears watching as it seems Kessel is the only teammate who meshes with Kadri.

Kadri tapped home a pass late in the first period of Saturday's win over Chicago.
He now has at least a goal in each of his last two games. His inflated sense of self will likely grate you, but won't necessarily lower his fantasy value. And he seems to like skating on a line with Phil Kessel, so take advantage of that opportunity while it lasts.

Kadri recorded a goal and an assist in Friday's win over Columbus.
The two-point outburst snapped a six-game scoring drought for Kadri, who finished a plus-3 in Friday's win. Currently centering the top line, Kadri will get plenty of opportunities to continue to pile up points. We knew he was too good to stay quiet for long. Although he only has three goals and four points on the season, Kadri is now playing alongside Phil Kessel, meaning his fantasy value is on the rise.

Kadri scored a goal in Toronto's 6-3 win over the Rangers Sunday.
Kadri set career highs in goals and assists last season, but spent much of the offseason attempting to improve his goal scoring abilities to build on his 2013-14 season. He's off to a good start in that department so far, with a pair of goals in the team's first three games.

Kadri scored his first goal of the season in Wednesday's 4-3 loss to the Canadiens.
He tipped a Brandon Kozun shot to open the scoring for the Leafs. He spent considerable time over the summer working on his goal-scoring abilities, so watch for both his SOG and goal totals to climb to career marks this season.

Kadri has been working on his shot over the summer and is looking to put up a lot more points this season, reports Sportsnet.ca. "Every single year I like my production to go up and up, so I want to get better [in terms of] goals, points, assists, plus/minus, time on ice," he said. "These are all things I think about and can improve on."
He's been in the gym working on wrist curls and strengthening his forearms and shoulders to improve his shot. "I've really been working on my shot and my release, knowing a lot of NHL goalies can't be beat without a quick release," said Kadri. "The power doesn't necessarily have to be there, but the release definitely does. I'm trying to score a few more goals and get more pucks on net." The center once potted 35 goals in 56 OHL games with the London Knights, but he will be hard pressed to replicate that scoring rate in the NHL. Still, he could certainly be in line for an improvement over his 20 goals from last season and 60 points could be in the offing.

Nazem Kadri was named to Team Canada for the upcoming IIHF Championships scheduled to begin on May 9th in Belarus.
He will be joined on the squad by teammates Morgan Rielly and James Reimer. Kadri had an inconsistent season but still set career highs in goals and points with 20 and 50 respectively. Reilly is a promising defenseman who just scratched the surface of his vast talent this season. We all know about the trials Reimer had in 2013-14.

Nazem Kadri understands that trade rumors could heat up again for his services, but he'd like to stay in Toronto.
"I've cherished my time (as a Leaf) and hopefully it continues," Kadri said on Wednesday. "I love Toronto. I love our fans and how passionate they are." He has averaged 17:25 of ice time per contest in 2013-14 and he's recorded 50 points (20 goals, 30 assists) in 76 games.
