Jones had two assists as the Flames won the battle of Alberta over Edmonton 4-2.

Jones had been quiet of late as the helpers were his first points in six games, then again, Jones isn't on the team to light the lamp, but rather to provide the intangibles that NHL teams need to win games.

Jones (upper body) was activated from injured reserve and will play Wednesday versus the Sharks, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Flames opened up a roster spot for Jones by waiving Devin Setoguchi, but since he wouldn't clear waivers until Thursday, the team will have to send another player to the minors prior to Wednesday's game. Jones, who had five points in 10 games, is expected to slot in on the top line next to Curtis Glencross and Sean Monahan.
