Jack Johnson has a goal and 11 points in his last nine home games.

Johnson has only four goals and 25 points in 60 games this season so his recent scoring prowess at home is a bit of surprise. Continue to start Johnson in fantasy pools, especially when he plays at Nationwide Arena.

Jack Johnson collected three assists to give Columbus a 6-3 victory against Florida on Saturday afternoon.

He assisted on power-play goals by R.J. Umberger and Cam Atkinson in the first period and he picked up his third helper on an empty netter from Matt Calvert. Nick Foligno, David Savard and Artem Anisimov also scored for the Blue Jackets in the contest.

Jack Johnson had an assist in Columbus' 5-2 defeat on Thursday.

Johnson got off to a slow start this season, but he hasn't been held off the scoresheet in more than back-to-back contests since Jan. 2-10. It looks like even the Olympic break didn't cool him off.

Jack Johnson has been tearing it up lately, oddly enough, with seven points and a +6 rating in his last six games.

Johnson has struggled through most of the season up until now, demonstrated by the 27 year-old being left off the U.S. Olympic team. He seems to have turned a corner though, having recorded an even or positive rating in each of his last 11 games.

Jack Johnson enjoyed a rare strong performance with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over the Lightning on Monday.

Johnson has been suffering through his worst NHL season with just 12 points in 45 contests entering Monday's action, but this outing is a step in the right direction. Nathan Horton also picked up a goal and an assist in the win while Ryan Johansen was the other Columbus goal scorer on the night.

Jack Johnson is staying upbeat despite the Blue Jackets' struggles this season.

Columbus hasn't been able to get a real streak going - good or bad - in over a month. However, they have a 10-14-3 record, which puts them five points back in the playoff race. "We're still right there," Johnson argued. "I've learned that usually after the All-Star break - this year it's the Olympic break - the season gets ratcheted up a little bit, so you have to make sure you're in a good spot for that final sprint." They certainly still have a very real shot, but they can't afford to slip too much further if they're hoping to stage a comeback following the Olympic break. They will play against Tampa Bay on Tuesday

Jack Johnson and Artem Anisimov each finished a minus-three in Columbus' 3-0 lost to the Penguins on Saturday night.

Johnson, who also had four hits and a shot on goal, is a solid blueliner but he's typically not been much of an asset in the plus/minus department. Anisimov, who had two hits and two shots on goal, has a career plus-10 rating, as he's pretty good defensively and away from the puck. It was a very uninspired performance all around for the Blue Jackets.

Jack Johnson tallied a power-play goal in Columbus' 3-1 loss to Boston on Saturday in a matinee contest.

Unfortunately, he was also a minus-3 in the match. Both of Johnson's goals have come with the man advantage this season. James Wisniewski and Marian Gaborik picked up assists in the loss.

Jack Johnson is excited with the Columbus Blue Jackets chances heading into the 2013-14 season.

The Blue Jackets will play in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference this season. Columbus will not have many changes to its lineup from the end of last season as they inked Nathan Horton to a long-term deal while choosing not to re-sign Vaclav Prospal. "There were a lot of questions when last season started, just because we had so many new faces, so many guys who weren't sure immediately what their roles were going to be here," Johnson said. "But that's totally different this time around. As a group of guys, we know each other pretty well. We know what we have to do to be successful. It's one thing to believe you can be a pretty good team, but it's another thing entirely to prove it. And we proved it with the way we ended the season. It all came together for us." Johnson is looking for a big season in 2013-14 as he had 19 points during the truncated 2013 season. He led the Blue Jackets on the power play and should be capable of 35-40 points.
