Jack Johnson and Artem Anisimov each finished a minus-three in Columbus' 3-0 lost to the Penguins on Saturday night.
Johnson, who also had four hits and a shot on goal, is a solid blueliner but he's typically not been much of an asset in the plus/minus department. Anisimov, who had two hits and two shots on goal, has a career plus-10 rating, as he's pretty good defensively and away from the puck. It was a very uninspired performance all around for the Blue Jackets.

Jack Johnson is excited with the Columbus Blue Jackets chances heading into the 2013-14 season.
The Blue Jackets will play in the Metropolitan Division of the Eastern Conference this season. Columbus will not have many changes to its lineup from the end of last season as they inked Nathan Horton to a long-term deal while choosing not to re-sign Vaclav Prospal. "There were a lot of questions when last season started, just because we had so many new faces, so many guys who weren't sure immediately what their roles were going to be here," Johnson said. "But that's totally different this time around. As a group of guys, we know each other pretty well. We know what we have to do to be successful. It's one thing to believe you can be a pretty good team, but it's another thing entirely to prove it. And we proved it with the way we ended the season. It all came together for us." Johnson is looking for a big season in 2013-14 as he had 19 points during the truncated 2013 season. He led the Blue Jackets on the power play and should be capable of 35-40 points.

Jack Johnson feels the Blue Jackets could use a captain.
"This is the first time I've ever played on a team that didn't have (a captain)," he said. "Obviously, they're going to take their time with it, and it's up to them. But at some point, I feel like you do have to put a stake in the ground." Columbus hasn't had a captain since Rick Nash left. Johnson or Brandon Dubinsky are believed to be the top candidates to wear the "C" when the time comes.

Jack Johnson (shoulder) could return to the Columbus lineup as early as Tuesday.
Johnson has missed the last four games and is expected to practice with the Blue Jackets today with a decision on whether or not he can play to come later in the day. Johnson has a goal and eight points in 18 games this season and the Blue Jackets miss his presence on the blueline.
