Jackman will return to school and a new career, ending his 12-year NHL career, Shane Frederick of the Mankato Free Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackman saw action in just two contest for Anaheim during the 2015-16 campaign in which he was a minus-2 and registered four PIM. After a two-year collegiate career for Minnesota State, the winger went on to play in 483 contest while logging 32 goals and 43 helpers. Selected in the second round of the 2001 NHL Draft, the 34-year-old was the definition of a journeyman player and grinder who had to work hard each season to prove why he was worth a roster spot and did so for 12 years.

Jackman was traded to the Blackhawks -- along with a 2017 seventh-round pick -- on Monday in exchange for forward Corey Tropp.
EDGE Analysis
Jackman, a 13-year veteran, will be an unrestricted free agent this summer but the physical winger was off the books for Anaheim anyhow, as he was waived last November after appearing in just two contests. There's nothing to look at here as it pertains to fantasy hockey.

Jackman has cleared waivers and will now report to AHL San Diego, Elliott Teaford of the Los Angeles News Group reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackman is a physical veteran with 806 PIMs over a span of 483 career NHL appearances. When he's up with the parent club, Jackman will register a point once in a blue moon but it's the grittyness for which he's best known.

Jackman was placed on waivers by the Ducks on Monday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jackman saw action in just two contests with the Ducks, averaging just 5:44 of ice time in his contests. Assuming he passes through waivers unclaimed, it seems likely the veteran winger will be reassigned to the AHL.

Jackman (lower body) was activated from injured reserve Wednesday. Jackman skated on the fourth line during the Ducks' morning session, so it stands to reason that he'll be available to play Wednesday against the Stars. The winger, who had been out since March 1 with the injury, has seven points and 84 PIM over his 53 games this season.

Jackman (lower body) has resumed skating over the last few days, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. He won't play in Wednesday's game against the Oilers, but seems to be trending toward a return to the lineup before the final week of the regular season. Jackman will give the Ducks' fourth line some added toughness once he gets back in action.

Jackman (lower body) is expected to begin skating on his own back in Anaheim during the Ducks' upcoming five-game road trip, Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times reports. Jackman was ruled out for 4-to-6 weeks after suffering his injury back on Mar. 1, and it appears that timetable remains fairly firm. With 84 PIM and 109 hits over his 53 games this season, Jackman is one of the Ducks' more prolific agitators, but he's largely a non-entity in every other fantasy category.

Coach Bruce Boudreau said he hopes that Jackman (lower body) can resume skating in a week, Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register reports. Jackman still appears in line to miss 4-to-6 weeks in total due to the injury he sustained just under two weeks ago. The Ducks are lacking in fourth-line muscle with Jackman unavailable, but the winger should be ready to contribute again over the final few games of the regular season.

Jackman is slated to miss 4-6 weeks due to a lower-body injury, Curtis Zupke of NHL.com reports. With just seven points in 53 games to date, Jackman's fantasy utility is restricted to leagues where his PIM (he has recorded 84 this season) are of assistance.

Jackman (lower body) is being listed on the Ducks' injured reserve list. The Ducks made a slew of additions ahead of Monday's trade deadline, so Jackman was likely whisked away to injured reserve to open up a roster spot. Since he last played in Sunday's game against the Stars before exiting with the injury, Jackman won't be eligible for activation until Mar. 9, ensuring that he'll miss the Ducks' next three games. The Ducks had previously listed Jackman as day-to-day, but the winger was reportedly sent back to Anaheim for a more thorough evaluation. With that in mind, it's no lock that he'll be able to immediately return to action next week when eligible.
