Hossa (undisclosed) was present during Wednesday's morning skate and looks set to play against Calgary, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Hossa skipped Tuesday's practice due to a minor injury, but he was never viewed as a serious threat to miss Wednesday's tilt with the Flames. The 35-year-old has one goal on six shot attempts through the Blackhawks' first two games.

He'll be asked to man the right wing spot on the team's top line, while also assuming a role on the power play.

Hossa is getting to that point in his career where he's going to be dealing with some nagging injuries, so it sounds like the Hawks are going to play it extra safe with him to try to keep him healthy. He is expected to return to practice Tuesday, and should be considered ready to go for the beginning of the regular season barring any setbacks.

Chicago is now down 3-1 in the Western Conference Final. Hossa isn't the only one they've neutralized over the span of their three-game winning streak, but he is nevertheless one of the big ones that Chicago needs to step up.

Hossa has two goals and 13 points in 13 postseason games. He's looking to advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the fifth time in seven years. "Yeah, at his age, he's still a dominant player," Kings coach Darryl Sutter said of Hossa. "I think pretty much when he's healthy, you can see it, he's a dominant player in the game, still. Plays the whole game, in terms of the whole package, in terms of the three zones, both sides of the puck. He's been a very effective player, great player for a long time. You look at the teams he's played on, too, why they've had success, he's a big part of it."

"As long as I play my game, good things will happen. If I score or somebody else scores, as long as we win, that's what counts." Even though his chances haven't resulted in goals, he still has picked up nine assists and 11 points in 12 playoff contests.
