Hoffman had a hand in each of the Sens' first two scores in Wednesday's win over the Maple Leafs, netting of his own and assisting on Erik Karlsson's marker in the 4-3 triumph.

The 25-year-old has been the Sens' top sniper this season with 16 goals, though he incredibly still hasn't tallied a power-play point. He's not much of an asset outside of the scoring categories and plus/minus, but his offensive skills are typically harder to find on the waiver wire.

Hoffman tallied a goal of the season in Tuesday's loss to the Stars.

Hoffman leads the Senators with 15 goals and has been scoring with even more regularity lately, finding twine in five of his last eight contests. He doesn't see much power-play time and has yet to record a point with the man advantage this season, but the fact that all of his scoring has come at even-strength has made him a huge asset in plus/minus. His plus-18 mark for the season is tied for eighth in the NHL.

Hoffman found the back of the net in the third period of Saturday's overtime victory over the Bruins.

With his 12th goal of the season, Hoffman overtook Clarke MacArthur for the team lead, making him one of the more unheralded top scorers of any team in the NHL. Re-signed to a two-way deal over the summer, there was no guarantee Hoffman would even break the roster out of training camp, but he's since emerged as one of the team's best snipers. It's a trait he displayed time and time again in the AHL last season, so there's reason to believe Hoffman can remain productive while holding down a role on the Sens' top-six and power play. The winger has recorded a point in three consecutive games, going plus-4 during that stretch.

Hoffman potted two goals and was a plus-3 in Friday's win over the Ducks.

The Ducks are going to hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, baby Hoffman's just gonna shake, shake, shake, shake, shake. Shake it Hoff, shake it Hoff. The 25-year-old now has 10 goals and 16 points in 29 games, to go with an impressive plus-13 rating. The second-liner has been remarkably consistent since the beginning of November, never going more than three games without recording a point. Playing on a line with Bobby Ryan, Hoffman is worth a look in some deeper leagues right now.

Hoffman picked up an assist and attempted five shots in Monday's loss to the Sabres.

That's three assists in four games for Hoffman, who has been an efficient producer no matter where he's played this season. Of late, the Senators have been using him on the second line with Bobby Ryan and Mika Zibanejad, an arrangement that could enable him to remain a solid complimentary scorer for the team the rest of the way.

Hoffman scored the first goal of the game in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders, snapping a seven-game streak without finding twine.

After going on a binge in which he scored six goals in five games, Hoffman proceeded to manage just a pair of assists over the following seven contests. His ice time has been inconsistent, bouncing between the 12-minute range and the 15-plus minutes he enjoyed Tuesday, which has probably been a factor in his similarly inconsistent scoring.

Hoffman opened the scoring early in the first period Thursday against Edmonton and finished it with the game-winning goal in overtime.

Wow -- that's six goals in the last four games for the red-hot sniper, who now has seven in 13 games on the season. While this may seem like an out-of-nowhere development, Hoffman was a big-time scorer in juniors and is rapidly playing his way into a bigger role for Ottawa.

Hoffman scored his fourth goal of the season and had four shots on goal in Sunday's win over Toronto.

Hoffman has been solid this season, recording five points in 11 games, to go with a plus-6 rating. The 24-year-old boasts great offensive talent, but his fantasy value is limited due to his current fourth-line role. Averaging only 12:45 of ice time per game, Hoffman may have the skill, but as long as his minutes stay down, his full fantasy potential will remain untapped.

Hoffman provided a pair of goals in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Wild.

Ottawa netminder Craig Anderson was untouchable, so he didn't need Hoffman's two insurance goals, but he's certainly not complaining. While Hoffman still only has a modest four points in nine games this season, he's been putting pucks on net with regularity lately, having fired 14 shots over his last four games. He's still stuck with bottom-six minutes, but there's no question about his offensive talent -- Hoffman scored 98 goals in his last two junior seasons and posted a 30-goal, 67-point campaign in just 51 AHL contests last year.

Hoffman scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Blue Jackets. He also picked up an assist.

OK, so he wuffed on a penalty shot in the first period, but he made up for it with a beauty of a goal to win the game. He has lots of offensive talent or at least he's shown lots in the AHL. But he's struggled to find a place in the NHL. Perhaps this is the year he sticks. Keep an eye on him.
