Cody Hodgson had a goal and two assists during Thursday's 7-4 win over the Boston Bruins.

After starting the season with points in three straight games, Hodgson was held off the score sheet in the last three contests, one of which linemate Thomas Vanek sat out. As long as Vanek is healthy, Buffalo's top line of Vanek, Hodgson and Jason Pominville could put up some monster numbers in this shortened season. If Hodgson is still available in your league, pick him up immediately.

Cody Hodgson was rewarded by heading to the net in Monday's 2-1 win over Toronto.

He took a Christian Ehrhoff slapshot off the body to open the scoring in the match and give him his second goal of the season. "I was just trying not to get hit in the head," he said smiling. "I turned away and it hit my chest but I'll take it." Buffalo's top line of Hodgson, Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville have played very well in the team's first two games of the 2013 season. If he keeps driving toward the goal, he should garner his fair share of points this year.

Cody Hodgson gelled with Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville in Buffalo's 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday.

Hodgson had a goal while Vanek finished the contest with five points and Pominville registered three assists. "That line was the difference," Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said. "Van was fabulous, [Hodgson] was terrific and Pommer was right somewhere between those two. We look at those guys as being our top line that can push us to that next level." With that in mind, it's a safe bet that Hodgson will stay on the top line for at least a little while longer.

Cody Hodgson has been on fire since returning from a broken hand.

He has four goals and eight points in his last six games after missing six weeks due to the injury. "I kept in good shape," said Hodgson. "I've probably been on the ice more than I would have if I'd have kept playing, but I feel comfortable out there and things are clicking." He'll be called up by the Buffalo Sabres if the season is saved.

Cody Hodgson continues his strong play since returning to action from an injury on Dec. 15, piling up three points on Wednesday as Rochester beat Lake Eerie 7-6 (OT) on Wednesday.

Hodgson has six points in his four games back, pushing his season total to three tallies and 16 points in 14 regular season games in the AHL. Many believe that the Vancouver Canucks made a mistake by trading him, but he hasn't had a chance to truly prove that yet.

Cody Hodgson recorded two assists in Rochester's 6-5 shootout loss to Binghamton on Friday night.

Hodgson has 13 points in 12 games this year. The Sabres hope the 22-year-old develops into a bonafide top-six center. Luke Adam also had a goal for his 13th point of the year.
