Higgins potted his fifth goal of the season and added an assist in Friday's win over Columbus.

Higgins has been very consistent this season, tallying five goals and 15 points in 23 games, to go with an impressive plus-11 rating. With the way he has shown chemistry with Nick Bonino on the second line, it's possible Higgins could put up 50 points for the first time in seven years.

Higgins recorded the primary assists on both of Nick Bonino's third-period goals Tuesday in a win over the Avalanche.

He's not a top scorer, but Higgins chips in enough points to be a useful option in deeper formats, particularly if he can hold onto his spot on the second line.

Higgins dished out a pair of assists and was a plus-2 in Sunday's win over Washington.

Higgins has heated up of late, recording a goal and five points in his last three games. He's looked great on the second line with Alex Burrow and Nick Bonino. Higgins isn't a top-end scorer, but he can deliver 20 goals with ease.

Higgins opened the scoring just 41 seconds into the game, added an assist, went plus-2, notched a pair of penalty minutes and took six shots on goal in Thursday's win over the Blues.

Higgins was all over the scoresheet in this one -- a much-needed positive effort for him, as he'd picked up just a single point (a goal) in the season's first five games.

Higgins finished the preseason with two goals and an assist in four games. He skated on the second line with Nick Bonino and Alex Burrows in Saturday's preseason finale vs. Edmonton.

Higgins was impressive in the preseason, using his wicked shot to find twine on two separate occasions. He is likely to slot in on Vancouver's second or third line this season, with second unit power-play time being a definite possibility. Higgins isn't anything special, but he will provide you with decent goal and shot totals. His career-high 52 points came eight seasons ago with Montreal.

Higgins netted his first goal of the preseason in Thursday's win over the Flames.

It was an absolute snipe from Higgins, who took a pass from former-Duck Nick Bonino before beating Flames' goalie Jonas Hiller high over the glove. Higgins scored 17 goals last season, but is expected to drop to Vancouver's third line in 2014-2015. Don't expect anything spectacular from Higgins, whose career-high 52 points came eights seasons ago with Montreal.

Higgins could miss the finale on Sunday as well. Higgins has 17 goals and 39 points this season, one of only a few Canucks who played up to his level.
