Hemsky looks to be a healthy scratch for the second straight game Tuesday versus the Jets,'s Mark Stepneski reports.

Hemsky will head to the press box for the third time this season with his production having yet to take off during his first season in Dallas. The winger has seven points and a minus-12 rating through 25 games and could become a regular healthy scratch if he doesn't get hot immediately upon his return to the lineup.

Hemsky is expected to be a healthy scratch Saturday against the Canadiens, James Mirtle of the Globe & Mail reports.

Hemsky stayed on the ice for additional work at the end of morning skate -- standard procedure for healthy scratches. His career with the Stars is off to a disappointing start, with two goals, five assists and a minus-12 rating through 25 games.

Hemsky could be a healthy scratch Saturday against the Canadiens.

While coach Lindy Ruff said that Hemsky is available to play, the winger skated hard for a long time after Saturday's morning session concluded, an indication he will not suit up. It would be Hemsky's second healthy scratch of the season.

Hemsky added a goal to his ledger in Tuesday's loss to the Maple Leafs.

Hemsky was slated to open the game on the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, but it appears coach Lindy Ruff was shuffling in a variety of players on that trio the top game. Even so, it's encouraging to see Hemsky begin to dig himself out of his rough open to the season. He's notched two goals and nine shot attempts over his last three games.

Hemsky scored his first goal of the season and had five shots on goal in 13:32 of ice time in Friday's loss to Minnesota.

Hemsky showed off a nice move to get past Ryan Suter and get a shot off on his goal. Unfortunately those moments are rare this season as he has just six points in 22 games.

Hemsky handed out a pair of assists in Thursday's win over Arizona.

While it's nice to see that the veteran winger now has three helpers in his last three games, he only owns four assists for the season and has yet to score a goal. Fantasy owners in most leagues can probably do better than the injury-prone Hemsky.

Hemsky will likely be a healthy scratch Thursday against the Kings, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Hemsky didn't skate on a regular line during the Stars' morning session and remained on the ice for extra work afterward, suggesting he'll be in the press box Thursday. The forward, who told Heika that he doesn't believe he's been a healthy scratch ever at any point in his career, didn't fault coach Lindy Ruff decision to consider keeping him out of the lineup. Hemsky simply hasn't lived up to expectations after signing with the Stars in the summer, as he's provided no goals and one assist over 15 games.

Hemsky had one shot and a minus-2 rating in Saturday's loss to the Sharks. That's the 13th straight game without a point for Hemsky.

Hemsky was supposed to have instant chemistry with Jason Spezza, but after getting an assist in the season opener, he's gone without a point in the following 13 games. His struggles saw him land in the bottom six for a while, though now he's back on a line with Spezza. During his 13-game pointless streak he has just 18 shots, with eight of those coming in a single game. Hemsky should be played with caution until he proves that he's going to produce.

Hemsky was forced out early in Saturday's game against the Wild with the injury, but it doesn't sound like he'll have to miss any further action because of it. He rejoined Jason Spezza and Erik Cole on the second line at morning skate.
