Dany Heatley will draw back into Minnesota's lineup for Game 3.

He was a healthy scratch in the team's previous two games of their first-round series against Colorado. "[Heatley's] played well against these guys this year," coach Mike Yeo said. "Veteran presence, a guy who's got a lot of experience in the playoffs. We're adding a guy who ... has more playoff points than anybody on our team." Yeo also praised Heatley for his professionalism and he's hoping that he has a strong game.

Coach Mike Yeo has liked the way Heatley has handled himself, which suggests that he could get back into the lineup soon. "The pregame skate in Phoenix, the assistant coaches really complimented him in how hard he worked in all the extra work he was doing," Yeo ssaid. "[Sunday], real good practice. So he's doing everything that he can right now. That's the key for me, use these practices to build the confidence back up, to get feeling good about yourself, and then that way when you get back in there, you'll be ready to take advantage in it." Heatley has 12 goals and 27 points in 74 games this campaign.

Don't be surprised if Dany Heatley is a healthy scratch against Phoenix Saturday night.

He has not scored in 14 games and has registered only two assists over that span while posting a terrible minus seven rating. Justin Fontaine will dress against the Coyotes Saturday night and Heatley could very well be the odd man out.

Wild coach Mike Yeo has talked to Dany Heatley about his reduced role and the winger is hoping for another opportunity to rise up the depth chart.

"It's an adjustment," Yeo said. "I just talked to him about that, talked to him about his game, what we need from him, but at the same time, we have to be trying to find a way to get him more involved through the course of the game so he's not sitting on the bench five minutes. It's tougher for a big body like that." Heatley has one assist in his last eight games and he's been relegated to a bottom-six role since Minnesota acquired Matt Moulson from Buffalo.

He has bounced up and down the lineup all season. Heatley lost his spot on the second line because of Minnesota's acquisition of Matt Moulson from Buffalo on trade deadline day. The Wild wanted to keep their third line, consisting of Kyle Brodziak, Matt Cooke and Nino Niederreiter, intact. Heatley has generated 12 goals and 25 points in 62 games this season.
