Michal Handzus C CHI 2 Days
Michal Handzus turned 37 on Tuesday.
"I feel good," he said. "I still feel my game's got to get on a higher level, for sure, but it's all mental. My body feels good." Handzus said that playing in the Olympics with Slovakia "rejuvenated" him, but it hasn't helped him on the scoresheet. He has one assist in his last five appearances and he has 12 points in 46 games on the year.

Michal Handzus and Marian Hossa will return to Chicago after Slovakia was eliminated from Olympic play on Tuesday.
"It's disappointing but now we have a couple of days to regroup and come back to the Blackhawks," said Handzus. "Our tournament wasn't good. Maybe we played one good game. Other than that we had some flashes but we didn't play 60 minutes. In a tournament like this, every mistake they pay you back. We came close but it was too little too late." He assisted on both of Hossa's goals in Slovakia's 5-3 loss to the Czech Republic.

Michal Handzus was back in Chicago's lineup Wednesday after he was a healthy scratch on Tuesday.
He snapped a 14-game point drought when he earned an assist on a goal by Brandon Saad in the second period of a 5-2 win versus Vancouver. "I haven't played well," Handzus said. "I have to play better. That's the biggest part for me. I didn't like my game the last two, three weeks, so I need to step up and play a lot better. Generally be better in our zone, get to the puck, win some 1-on-1 battles, distribute the puck to my wings." He has 11 points in 38 games this season.
