Jonas Gustavsson G DET 12 Hrs
Jonas Gustavsson gave up two goals on 37 shots in the Red Wings' 2-1 loss to the Panthers on Saturday night.
The opposite of Saturday's game against the Devils in which he faced only 11 shots. Can't fault Gustavsson for this loss, though. He faced nine shots in the first, 17 in the second and 11 in the third period, so he was certainly busy. This loss snapped a personal five-game winning stream for the netminder, who has a 2.03 goals-against average and .930 save percentage this season.

Jonas Gustavsson will get the nod for Detroit again on Saturday against Florida.
He was called upon to make just 10 saves in Friday's 3-1 win over New Jersey. Gustavsson has earned points in his first nine starts of the season, so the Red Wings are happy to stick with him while Jimmy Howard rediscovers his form.
Jonas Gustavsson G DET 24 Hrs
Jonas Gustavsson was faced with an unusual challenge in Detroit's 3-1 win on Friday.
Gustavsson only faced 11 shots, which you might think is easier, but it makes it difficult for a goaltender to get into a rhythm. "It's actually harder to play a game like this than when you have to face 30 shots and you get to touch the puck a little," said Gustavsson. "I have to talk to myself, (to remind himself) a game is going, when you don't see a shot for five or 10 minutes. You have to get mentally ready." He has a 8-0-1 record this season.

Jonas Gustavsson remains undefeated in regulation as he led the Red Wings to a 3-1 victory over New Jersey Friday night.
The Monster improves to 8-0-1 in what has been a fantastic season. He only had to make 10 saves for the victory over the Devils. It would have been a different game, however, if Gustavsson did not make one particular incredible glove save behind his back to deny the Devils a goal.

Jonas Gustavsson will be between the pipes for Detroit on Friday versus New Jersey.
He has provided the Red Wings with strong goaltending this season and has earned some extra action because of Jimmy Howard's struggles. "I know I have to play real well to be considered playing in net," he said. "But I'm just trying to do my part and do as good as I can and push the other guys. It's been working great so far." Gustavsson owns a 7-0-1 record with a .929 save percentage and a 2.16 GAA.

Jonas Gustavsson keeps winning when given the opportunity, as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Ottawa Senators 4-2 on Sunday.
"The Monster" stopped 30 out of 32 shots to improve his 2013-14 record to 7-0-1. He's quietly having a fantastic contract year and has to make head coach Mike Babcock at least ponder giving him more starts as this season moves along.

Jonas Gustavsson allowed just one goal on 17 shots in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Bruins.
It was a relatively easy night for Gustavsson, who now holds a 6-0-1 record for the season to go along with a 2.17 GAA and .927 save percentage. Although he will not usurp Jimmy Howard as the team's starter, expect him to continue earning regular playing time as long as he keeps this up.

Red Wings goalie Jonas Gustavsson improved his record to 5-0-1 after Detroit beat the Buffalo Sabres 3-1 on Sunday.
Gustavsson's won two straight games, too. He has a .926 save percentage and 2.35 GAA on the season. At some point, one cannot help but wonder if he'll start encroaching on Jimmy Howard's reps.
