T. J. Galiardi LW WPG 16 Days

Galiardi will rejoin the Winnipeg lineup Tuesday versus the Stars, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Galiardi had been a healthy scratch over the team's last 11 games, while also clearing waivers during that span. He chose to stick around with the Jets rather than accept an assignment to the minors, and his patience will at least be rewarded for a game. He steps into the lineup for Evander Kane, who was given a two-game suspension on Monday.

Galiardi cleared waivers Wednesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.

Now that he's cleared waivers, Galiardi will have the option of whether or not to accept his assignment to AHL St. John's. Given that he didn't warrant a claim from the other NHL clubs after producing no points in 17 games, it seems likely that he'll swallow his pride and return to the minors.

The Jets placed Galiardi on waivers Tuesday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.

Galiardi appeared in 17 games for the Jets but did not record a point. He could garner some interest on the waiver wire with 300 NHL games under his belt, but will be assigned to AHL St. John's if he is not claimed.

Galiardi (eye) returned to practice Friday, Paul Wiecek of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Galiardi indicated that the vision in his eye is still a bit compromised following surgery and may require a few weeks before the blurriness subsides, but it shouldn't prevent him from suiting up for games. Galiardi is ticketed for duty on the fourth line or as a healthy scratch for the Jets most nights.

Galiardi (eye) will miss at least the next week, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

Galiardi took a stick to the eye during practice Friday but the severity of the injury is still unknown, Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun reports.

With the severity of the injury unknown, Galiardi should be considered day-to-day and questionable for Saturday's exhibition game against the Wild. In concern for the regular season, Galiardi will have plenty of time shaking this injury off before Winnipeg's start of the season on Oct. 9 against Phoenix.
