Colin Fraser was a healthy scratch on Saturday with the return of Mike Richards to the Kings lineup.
Fraser played in all 16 playoff games before finding himself as the odd man out Saturday. He had two assists in the playoffs after potting a couple of goals and seven points in 34 regular season games. He is not worth selecting in fantasy pools next season.

Center Colin Fraser of the Los Angeles Kings says a major key to beating Chicago in the Western Conference final series, which begins today, is to frustrate Blackhawks center/captain Jonathan Toews.
How do you frustrate him? "You shut him down, and Detroit was doing a good job of shutting him and [Patrick] Kane down (in the recently completed Detroit-Chicago playoff series). He wants to score goals and help his team to win. The less we can do that and hopefully that the more frustrated he can get. Get him off his game. Within the rules." The man assigned to spend quality time against Toews probably will be Kings center Anze Kopitar. He didn't play in the season opener against Chicago, still dealing with a knee injury, but saw plenty of Toews in the teams' other two meetings.

Center Colin Fraser, restored to the Los Angeles lineup after being scratched the previous four games, led the way to a 3-1 victory over the Oilers in Edmonton on Tuesday night by anchoring his team's fourth line and aggressively going to the net for a goal that was a thing of beauty for the Kings.
Fraser scored the fourth line's first goal and his first of the season. "Nobody wants to sit but we've got a deep team. We've got lots of depth," Fraser said. "We've been trying to find the right combo right now to get some wins. Obviously, it was nice to score when you've been sitting out four games."

Colin Fraser could find himself in the lineup against the Red Wings on Sunday.
Fraser practiced alongside the Kings fourth line of Jarrett Stoll, Brad Richardson and Trevor Lewis in Saturday's practice and there's a chance he replaces one of Richardson or Lewis in the contest. With one point and just three shots on goal in nine games, Fraser is not a fantasy option.

Colin Fraser re-signed with the Kings on a two-year, $1.65 million deal.
The bottom-six center played in 67 games in 2011-12, recording two goals and eight points. He has also hoisted the Stanley Cup in two of his last three seasons. Suffice to say, though, he should not be on fantasy radars for next year.

Colin Fraser was overjoyed to win his second Stanley Cup in the last three years, but this championship was different because he got to play a regular role in Los Angeles' playoff run.
"It was obviously special in Chicago," said Fraser referring to his 2010 Cup victory. "The city has a place in my heart. It is the best city. But this time to actually get to play and fill a role and play every game, I can't describe it. It's awesome." He suited up in just three postseason games for Chicago, but played in 18 with the Kings as a staple on the team's fourth line.

Colin Fraser thinks one similarity the Stanley Cup winning 2010 Chicago Blackhawks and 2012 Los Angeles Kings share is their depth.
"Both teams had a lot of depth. Me and (Adam) Burish were sitting out the last game of the year in Chicago, and now we're regulars on our (respective) teams," Fraser said. "You need depth, because when guys get hurt or aren't pulling their weight or whatever, someone else needs to step in." Every Kings forward that has played in at least 10 playoff games has scored at least one goal in their postseason run. Having superstars is important, but they can't carry a team this far on their own.

Colin Fraser scored a goal in the Kings' 2-1 overtime victory on Wednesday.
Los Angeles' depth is one of the many reasons they're now 13-2 in the playoffs. Of the 18 position players that have participated in at least 10 postseason games, all of them now have at least one point. In addition, 16 Kings players, including all of the forwards that have played in at least 10 playoff contests, have scored at least one goal.
