Erat dished out a pair of assists in Friday's 5-0 rout of the Canucks.

That's nine points in 17 games for Erat, who has provided decent, albeit unspectacular, secondary scoring production for the Desert Dogs. In terms of peripheral stats, his most appealing line would be the 18 PIMs, as his 21 shots and minus-five rating leave much to be desired among prospective owners.

Erat scored his fourth goal of the season Monday in a win over the Leafs. He added two PIM and and four shots on net in 18:41 of ice time.

Erat now has six points in 12 games, including four goals after scoring just three times last season. He could come close to his production from his Nashville days when he scored between 16 and 23 goals every year between 2005-06 and 2011-12.

Erat registered a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 7-4 win over the Oilers.

Erat finished the game with three shots on goal in his 17:06 of ice time, taking advantage of a shaky Oilers defense and poor play by goalie Ben Scrivens. Not every opponent is going to be as hapless as Edmonton was Wednesday, so don't make two much of Erat's two-point game.

Martin Erat skated in his 800th career game Thursday night.

Interestingly, it was also his first time back in Nashville since he was traded by the Predators at last season's trade deadline. The Preds took Erat in the seventh round of the 1999 draft. He has two goals and one assist in 15 games with Phoenix this season after he had 24 points in 53 matches with Washington.

Martin Erat netted a goal in the Coyotes' 4-3 overtime loss to Columbus on Tuesday night.

Erat has just two goals and an assist in 14 games since arriving in Phoenix via trade from Washington, where he had one goal in 53 games. Safe to say Erat is glad that 2013-14 is finally coming to an end, with just 27 points in 67 games.

He will join Martin Hanzal and Radim Vrbata in his first game back from a lower-body injury. Erat has been absent from Phoenix's last three contests. He has one goal in four appearances with the Coyotes since being acquired from Washington.

Martin Erat registered just his second goal of the season in Monday's 4-3 shootout win over the Lightning.

Erat registered a ridiculous one goal in 53 games with the Capitals and doubled it with a tally in Monday's win. Before you go rushing to grab him in your league, keep in mind that he skated for just 12 minutes in this contest and registered just the one shot on goal. Brandon McMillan and Mikkel Bodker also scored goals for Phoenix in the win.

New Coyote Martin Erat should be able to flourish with the Phoenix Coyotes at least partly because he is familiar with the other Czech players on the team, according to team star Radim Vrbata.

Like Erat, Vrbata, Martin Hanzal and Zbynek Michalek are from Czechoslovakia. "It always makes it easier," Vrbata said. "Not that you don't speak to the other guys. You do. But still, it's a long season. It's nice to come to the rink and you can speak in your language and if you're on the road, you can go together to dinner. Just talk about stuff that is going on in Czech or stuff like that."

Martin Erat meshed well with Radim Vrbata in his Coyotes debut.

Erat got a chance to play alongside his Czech countryman, Vrbata, after Phoenix acquired Erat from Washington on Tuesday. Although Erat didn't get a point in his debut, he still helped Vrbata find the back of the net twice. "Hopefully we'll get even better as we practice more together and skate together and play more games together," Vrbata said. "So hopefully this is just the start." Although Erat has had a disappointing season, he should finish the campaign on a high note with Phoenix.
