Tyler Ennis scored a goal for Buffalo Sunday, but it wasn't enough to stop the Canucks from prevailing by a score of 4-2.

Ennis has been one of the few bright spots for Buffalo over the past few months and has now registered 19 goals on the season. If he manages to score twice more before the end of the season, he'll reach a new career-best in that category. Jamie McBain also scored a goal for the Sabres in the loss.

Tyler Ennis was the only goal scorer for Buffalo in Monday's loss to Dallas as he scored a pair of goals in a 3-2 defeat.

Ennis had recently missed a pair of games with an undisclosed injury, but he looked strong on this night and has now tallied 16 times on the season. After an extremely slow start to the campaign, the diminutive forward has enjoyed a productive second half.

Tyler Ennis (undisclosed) isn't ready to return to the Sabres' lineup Friday night.

The good news is that Ennis did participate in the team's optional gameday skate. "He did a little extra work [after practice]," interim coach Ted Nolan said. "He's pretty close, but not close enough to play tonight. So hopefully, like I said, it's day-to-day. He's a lot better but you probably won't see him tonight." He has 14 goals and 30 points in 58 games this season.

Tyler Ennis didn't practice Thursday, but he still might be available to play Friday.

He sat out Wednesday's game against Boston because of general body soreness. "He's still a little sore but hopefully knock on wood he'll be ready to go tomorrow," interim coach Ted Nolan said Thursday. "It's still one of those day-to-day things. He was a lot better today and hopefully we'll have a good chance to see him at morning skate and go from there."

Tyler Ennis is "day-to-day" with general body soreness.

At the very least, Ennis will miss Wednesday's game. The timing of this setback is particularly unfortunate, given that he found the back of the net on Tuesday.
