Tyler Ennis (upper body) will not play Tuesday against the New York Rangers.

Ennis was considered questionable to play after getting hurt Sunday on a hit from Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds. Sabres coach Ron Rolston has said Ennis doesn't have a concussion despite Ennis needing stitches on his forehead. Keep him out of your lineup tonight and we should know more about his status later in the week before the Sabres play the Senators on Saturday.

Ennis not at practice. Hecht moves up to the second line and Grigorenko fills Hecht's vacancy on Line 4.

Coach Ron Rolston said "Tyler Ennis is doing okay, just has a nice 'zipper' on his head from the stitches," the Sabres tweeted after the game. Monitor Ennis' availability for tomorrow's game vs. the Rangers.

Tyler Ennis has produced two goals and four points in seven games since Ron Rolston replaced Lindy Ruff as Buffalo's interim head coach.

"I like Tyler. Tyler cares a lot about his game," Rolston said. "You can just see his details are getting better. He wants to help the team win in any way we can, and he's willing to do what it takes. He's got a lot of talent, so that's a good combination." Ennis has been the Sabres' only legitimate scoring threat beyond the team's top line. He has seven goals and 17 points in 24 contests on the year.
