Coach Michel Therrien said Wednesday that he expects Eller (lower body) to return to practice in the next day or two, LNH.com's Arpon Basu reports.

Eller came into training camp nursing the lower-body ailment, but it was never suggested a long absence was in store for the forward. One of the top performers for Habs in playoffs during their run to the Eastern Conference Finals, Eller is unlikely to claim a top-six role heading into the 2014-15. Even so, he should offer the team a solid depth scoring on the third line, with a 30-point season well within his capacity.
