Fasth was injured in the pre-game warmup Friday. He was starting to see some regular time as Friday was supposed to be his third start in four games but Jonas Hiller and Frederik Andersen will see the net in his absence. Fasth is now 2-2-1 this season with a 2.95 GAA and a .885 save percentage.

Fasth played well in his return from injury against the Hurricanes, but followed it up with a bit of a dud as he allowed three goals on 27 shots. His 2-2-1 record is accompanied by a .885 save percentage and a 2.95 GAA.

Fasth was out with a lower body injury that forced him to miss 14 games. He played one game in the AHL as he needed a conditioning stint and was the backup on Thursday to Jonas Hiller before getting the start on Friday. "I felt good," Fasth said. "The injury has healed as it should. I felt nothing when I'm on the ice. It's great." Fasth is 2-1-1 this season with a 2.94 GAA and a .885 save percentage. Hiller has been spotty at times so look for Fasth to get a chance to run with the job shortly.

With Fasth back with the Ducks, the team has a logjam of goaltenders, so Frederik Andersen is on his way back to the minors despite playing very well in seven outings this year. Fasth hasn't played since Oct. 16 and he's appeared in just three games this season.

He hasn't played since Oct. 16 because of a lower-body injury, which is believed to be related to his back. Fasth can work his way back to game shape in the minors, while the Ducks try to figure out what to do with their crowded crease situation.
