Michael Del Zotto D NYR 4 Hrs
Look for Michael Del Zotto to draw back into the Rangers lineup on Sunday.
Del Zotto was a healthy scratch Saturday and it was the third time in the last five games that he sat in the press box. But Marc Staal suffered a concussion on Saturday so Del Zotto will take his place in the lineup. Del Zotto has five points and a minus-9 rating in 22 games this year but does not deserve a spot in your fantasy lineup at this time.

Michael Del Zotto will be a healthy scratch Saturday against New Jersey.
Justin Falk, who was scratched Thursday, will suit up instead and John Moore will remain in the lineup. Del Zotto has five points and a minus-9 rating in 22 games this year and he would probably benefit from a change of scenery.

Michael Del Zotto was all right after taking an elbow to his head courtesy of Tom Sestito on Saturday.
The good news was that Del Zotto did not miss any game action. He missed the previous two games as a healthy scratch but managed to score a power play goal in the Rangers 5-2 win Saturday.

Michael Del Zotto got back to New York's lineup Saturday afternoon.
He was a healthy scratch for the team's previous two games. Del Zotto logged 17:43 of ice time against Vancouver in his return and he scored a power-play goal. His name has surfaced in a slew of trade rumors, but until he gets moved his fantasy value is very limited.

Defenseman Michael Del Zotto was scratched for the second straight game on Friday by Rangers coach Alain Vigneault, and for the fifth time in the last eight matches.
"It's not that Michael is playing badly," Vigneault said. "It's a matter that at this time, [Ryan] McDonagh, Dan [Girardi], [Anton] Stralman, [Marc] Staal and [John] Moore are all in our opinion playing a bit better than Michael. So the decision for the sixth guy, we're going with the guy with a little more bite," Vigneault said, referring to Justin Falk. "[The Bruins] are a big, strong, physical team."

Michael Del Zotto was "a bit shocked" by the Rangers' decision to scratch him on Wednesday.
"I felt other than the first goal the last game (Del Zotto was a minus-2), where there could've been tighter coverage, I thought I played a pretty good game," Del Zotto said. "I wasn't expecting it. But, like I said, I'm going to come to the rink with a smile." Unless there's a trade, Del Zotto might not have much fantasy value going forward.

Michael Del Zotto will spend another game in the press box on Wednesday.
Del Zotto played in just three games before being listed as a healthy scratch again. At this point, if you're holding on to Del Zotto, it should be in the hope he's traded in the near future. It doesn't look like Del Zotto will have much fantasy value as long as he remains with the Rangers.

Michael Del Zotto will play on Wednesday after spending three consecutive contests as a healthy scratch.
"A player like Michael has to play to his strengths," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said, referring to Del Zotto. "I've been told his strengths are his ability to beat the forecheck, join the rush, help out on the power play and get shots through. I have not seen that on a consistent enough basis for him to be able to say he's going to be in the lineup every night." In other words, Del Zotto is currently fighting for a regular spot in the lineup. If he wins it, or if he gets traded, he should be worth owning in fantasy leagues given his offensive capabilities.

Michael Del Zotto will spend his third consecutive game in the press box.
Del Zotto seems to have fallen out of favor with Rangers coach Alain Vigneault. Associate coach Scott Arniel recently said that they haven't given up on Del Zotto, but we're growing increasingly concerned that he will be used primarily as a sixth or seventh defenseman this season.

Defenseman Michael Del Zotto was a healthy scratch for the second straight game Sunday night with coach Alain Vigneault keeping the lineup intact from Saturday's 1-0 win at Montreal.
Justin Falk again was paired with John Moore after being a healthy scratch the previous 11 games and logged 13:08 with three hits. "DZ will be patient, we haven't given up on him," associate coach Scott Arniel said.
