Bruins coach Claude Julien is very pleased with how Dougie Hamilton has handled himself in the playoffs.

At the age of 19, Hamilton has participated in four postseason contests. "[The] playoffs is another step, and he's taking that step extremely well, to me," Julien said. "[In Game 1] he was making good decisions, playing with Chara, sometimes against their top line. To be able to put him out there against the other team's top line shows that we do have confidence in him." Hamilton had an assist and a plus-two rating in 20:45 minutes of playing time in Game 1 of the Bruins' second-round series against the Rangers.
