Cullen returned from an upper-body injury over the weekend. He skated 11:57 in Saturday's win over the Blue Jackets.

Cullen missed just one contest due to the injury, but his role with the Predators appears to be on the decline nonetheless. The team welcomed back Mike Fisher (Achilles) to the lineup on Thanksgiving, and his presence may force Cullen to settle for fourth-line duties.

Cullen was held out of Thursday's 1-0 win over the Oilers due to an upper-body injury, the Associated Press reports.

It appeared Cullen was headed for the press box after he failed to take part in the team's morning skate, but the assumption was that he was healthy. Instead, it sounds like he may have suffered the injury in Tuesday's game against the Kings, and he's now considered day-to-day as a result.

Cullen is expected to serve as a healthy scratch Thursday against the Oilers, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports.

The Preds will welcome back Mike Fisher (Achilles) into their lineup Thursday for the first time this season, and it looks like Cullen will be forced to head to the press box as a result. Cullen missed the team's morning skate while all of his other mates were present, a sign that he'll be given the night off.

Cullen finally scored his first goal of the season Thursday, the game-winning tally in the third period of a 3-2 win over the Stars.

Cullen's been surprisingly productive since returning from the lower-body injury that held him out for the start of the year, providing Thursday's goal and three assists in his first five games. Cullen's not going to maintain 0.8 points per game, but if he keeps seeing power-play time, he could get back to the 40-point mark for the first time since 2009-10.

Cullen is currently seeing time on the blue line for the Predators' power play, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports.

Cullen has registered an assist in each of his three games since missing the first eight games of the season with a lower body injury, and not surprisingly, two of those three helpers have come on the power play where he is now lining up on the first unit alongside James Neal, Mike Ribeiro, Filip Forsberg and Roman Josi. Given his elevated status in the Preds' lineup, Cullen represents very good fantasy bang for the buck right now. Jump on him quick and enjoy the hot streak while it lasts.

Cullen (lower body) will skate on a line with Craig Smith and Derek Roy in Wednesday's game against the Oilers, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports.

Cullen and Smith have some history together, as the two played on the same line for a stretch at the start of last season. If Cullen can stick on a scoring line, it would certainly provide his fantasy value a much-needed boost. Cullen scored 39 points in 77 games with the Preds last season, and has an outside shot at 40 points this season if all goes well.

Cullen (lower body) was activated from injured reserve for Wednesday's game against the Oilers.

Cullen took part in Monday's practice and is set to appear in a game for the first time since suffering an upper body injury Sept. 24. It's not exactly clear what line he will skate on Wednesday, but he should have a spot somewhere in the lineup.

Cullen (lower body) isn't expected to return Tuesday against the Coyotes, Eric Stromgren of The Tennessean reports.

Cullen resumed practicing last week and is being labeled as day-to-day by the Predators at this stage, but he wasn't a part of the team's line rushes at Tuesday's morning skate, signaling that he won't be making his return. He could be ready to go in time for the Preds' next game, scheduled for Thursday versus the Blackhawks.

Cullen (lower body) took part in practice Tuesday and is now considered day-to-day, according to the Predators' official website.

At this point, it's not known whether Cullen will accompany the team on its two-game road trip this weekend to Winnipeg (Friday) and Chicago (Saturday). Assuming Cullen doesn't suit up for either of those games, look for a possible return next Tuesday when the Preds open a three-game homestand against the Coyotes.

Cullen (lower body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, according to the Predators' official website.

It's unclear at this point just how serious Cullen's injury is or when he will return; however, he must remain on IR for at least seven days. This means the earliest he could come back would be Oct. 14 against Calgary. Either way, it's best to keep him on your fantasy bench for the upcoming week.
