Nugent-Hopkins had an assist, picked up two penalty minutes and won 18-of-28 faceoff attempts in Tuesday's loss to the Stars.

Nugent-Hopkins had been rolling offensively earlier in the month, but he's since seen his production slow to a crawl. The assist was his first point in five games, and he's attempted just seven shots during that span.

Nugent-Hopkins dished out a pair of assists and went minus-1 in Thursday's overtime loss to the Senators.

Although both of his helpers came at even strength, RNH was on the ice for three Ottawa goals. He's done nothing but pour in the points lately, with five in his last three games and just two scoreless outings in his last 12.

Nugent-Hopkins picked up a goal and an assist in Sunday's 3-1 win over the Rangers.

Nugent-Hopkins has gotten off to a strong start as expected, as the two points pushed his total to 10 through 13 games. His shooting percentage currently sits at a career best 15.1%, so that could drop back down but he should still be good for about 20 goals and over 30 assists.

Nugent-Hopkins was the only Edmonton skater to beat Steve Mason on Tuesday, completing a (nearly) end-to-end rush with his fourth goal of the season.

RNH looked dominant en route to this goal, skating right past the Flyers' defense and then putting a vicious backhand over Mason's shoulder, but it was the only bright spot for the Oil. His line with Benoit Pouliot and Jordan Eberle was Edmonton's only forward grouping that avoided taking a minus rating for the game, but Nugent-Hopkins and Eberle will both certainly miss Taylor Hall's presence while Hall remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Nugent-Hopkins tallied a goal for the third straight game Friday against the Hurricanes.

While the recent scoring binge has been a boon to Nugent-Hopkins' fantasy owners, the fact that he's registered the three tallies on a total of four shots on goal suggests he might be benefiting from some puck luck. The run of point production figures to slow down eventually, but Nugent-Hopkins still looks primed for another 50-point season.

Nugent-Hopkins scored his first goal of the season -- a game winner -- as Edmonton knocked off the visiting Lightning 3-2 on Monday.

RNH made Tampa pay in the third period after Ondrej Palat gifted an awful turnover to Jordan Eberle, who grabbed the only assist on his goal. Now that the Oilers have gotten their first win of the season out of the way, look for the Oilers' top line of Nugent-Hopkins, Eberle and Taylor Hall to get on the scoresheet more consistently.

Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) was on the ice for morning skate and looks likely to play Friday against the Canucks, TSN's Ryan Rishaug reports.

Nugent-Hopkins was forced out of back-to-back contests earlier this week with the injury, but his return to morning skate, as well as the Oilers' demotion of Bogdan Yakimov, bodes well for his chances of returning to action. However, it does appear Nugent-Hopkins won't return to his usual spot as the pivot of the top line, as coach Dallas Eakins chose to adjust his trios of forwards at morning skate. Instead, look for Nugent-Hopkins to center the second line, with Teddy Purcell and Nail Yakupov flanking him on either side.

Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) will not play Wednesday against the Coyotes.

The Oilers apparently don't believe that Nugent-Hopkins' injury is all that serious, but it's troublesome enough to keep him out for both ends of the team's back-to-back. Wednesday's demotion of Bogdan Yakimov to AHL Oklahoma City would appear to signal that Nugent-Hopkins could be ready to play Friday against Carolina.

Nugent-Hopkins (undisclosed) will not play Tuesday against the Kings, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Nugent-Hopkins is still feeling sore after taking a hit from Vancouver's Dan Hamhuis on Saturday night, forcing him out of Monday's practice. Along with RNH, fellow top-liner Jordan Eberle will sit out with an undisclosed injury, leaving the Oilers a bit short-handed on offensive talent.

Nugent-Hopkins has been labeled day-to-day with an undisclosed injury, but could play Tuesday, Oilers play-by-play man Jack Michaels reports.

RNH, Jordan Eberle, Teddy Purcell and Darnell Nurse are all in that same category, with the Oilers withholding all information about their ailments. However, the 2011 No. 1 overall pick had his first NHL fight Saturday against Dan Hamhuis of the Avs, and it's possible that he's banged up a little as a result. He's got an assist and a minus-2 rating through two games thus far.
