Corey Crawford G CHI 3 Hrs

Crawford will start between the pipes against the Predators on Monday, CSN Chicago reports.

Crawford sopped 23 of the 25 shots he faced Saturday against the Avalanche, and will look for another good outing Monday against the Predators. He now carries a 13-6-2 record with a .923 save percentage and 2.00 GAA into the matchup.

Corey Crawford G CHI 14 Hrs

Crawford made 23 saves on 25 shots in Saturday's win over Colorado.

A strong outing from Crawford, who is now 1-1-1 since returning from a foot injury, allowing seven goals in that span. Now that he's back in action, he needs to be in your lineup every night he gets the nod. With a 13-6-2 record, to go with a .923 save percentage and 2.00 GAA, Crawford has been one of the best fantasy goalies this season. He's money on a Blackhawks' team that has won 12 of their past 15 games.

Crawford will receive the starting nod for Saturday's game against the Avalanche, Mark Lazerus of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Crawford submitted perhaps his ugliest performance of the season Tuesday against the Jets, failing to make it out of the first period after yielding three goals on 13 shots. With the entire holiday break to stew about it, Crawford will almost certainly submit a better effort this time around, though it could still be a challenge to come away with the win on the road in Colorado. Tuesday's outing notwithstanding, Crawford has been generally spectacular this season, owning a 12-6-2 record and 2.00 GAA over 20 outings. He's still probably one of the better goalie options for Saturday's slate.

Crawford didn't even last the entirety of the first period Tuesday, getting yanked after allowing three goals on 13 shots against the Jet.

Antti Raanta delivered credible work in relief, but couldn't prevent the loss. Crawford's now turned in a so-so outing and a poor outing in two games since returning from injured reserve, and if you have other options, it might be wise to let him turn in a good game before reinserting him into your lineup.

Crawford will be back in goal on Tuesday against the Jets, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

This was expected and confirms that Crawford, who recently lost a couple weeks with a foot injury, is 100 percent healthy. Blackhawks back-up goalie Antti Raanta served up a shutout of Toronto, 4-0, on Sunday in a back-to-back scenario. Crawford is going to get the majority of the starts if he stays healthy. The Blackhawks' starting goalie has faced Winnipeg five times with a 1.61 goals against average (GAA) and a .936 save percentage. For this season he is 12-4-2 with a 1.87 GAA and a .927 save percentage.

Crawford returned to action Saturday, stopping 17 of 19 shots in regulation, before losing in a shootout to the Blue Jackets.

It wasn't a bad outing for Crawford, who stood out in the shootout, allowing only two goals on nine attempts. The 29-year-old is now 12-5-2 on the season with a .927 save percentage and 1.87 GAA. Now that he's healthy, Crawford needs to be in your lineup every night he's in action, as the Blackhawks are one of the league's best teams, sitting second in the Western Conference with 46 points.

Crawford (foot) will return to the net Saturday against the Blue Jackets.

Crawford resumed skating with the team this week and didn't seem to be facing any limitations with his foot, giving the Blackhawks confidence in returning him to active duty. Scott Darling has since been reassigned to AHL Rockford, with Antti Raanta sticking around as Crawford's backup. Crawford will start the first game of the Blackhawks' weekend back-to-back set, while Raanta more than likely gets the nod Sunday against the Maple Leafs. Crawford's return will put the Blackhawks' lineup at full health for the first time in several weeks, just as the team is beginning to hit its stride.

Crawford (foot) appears likely to be available at least in a backup capacity for Saturday's game against the Blue Jackets, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

The team's decision to demote goalie Scott Darling to AHL Rockford following Tuesday's victory over the Wild suggests Crawford has noticed enough improvement with his foot over the last few days to be active for the Blackhawks' next game. Coach Joel Quenneville could just have Crawford serve as the understudy to Antti Raanta as a precaution Saturday, before returning his No. 1 goalie to the net for Sunday's tilt with the Maple Leafs.

Crawford, who has been out for the last couple of weeks with a foot injury, is expected back on the ice next week, ESPN Chicago reports.

This means Crawford will either start either at Columbus or home against Toronto Saturday or Sunday respectively. Based on Hawks' Joel Quenneville's past, he might have Crawford start either Saturday or Sunday's game and have the backup either Scott Darling or Antti Raanta be in goal the other game.

Coach Joel Quenneville said Saturday that he expects Crawford (foot) to return at some point in the upcoming week, Tracey Myers of CSN Chicago reports.

Though he won't be an option for either of the Blackhawks' games over the weekend, Crawford looks to be progressing well since resuming skating on Thursday. He'll gradually increase his activities over the next couple of days, and could make a push to return to action next Tuesday against the Wild. The Blackhawks have received spectacular play from Scott Darling over the last three games, so Crawford shouldn't feel any added pressure to rush himself back to full health.
