Reinhart, 25, played last season in Germany, where he only produced six goals and 17 assists in 52 games. It's unlikely he'll see any fantasy-relevant ice time in 2017-18, but he's still young enough to develop into a bottom-six forward in the big league.

Reinhart leads the Ads in goals with 15 in 51 games, and he's fourth in total points with 26. His plus-minus rating of +15 is also tops on the team. At this late stage of the season, it's unlikely we'll see Reinhart at the NHL level unless the Preds run into injury, but expect him to be in the running for a roster spot next season.

Reinhart leads the AHL Milwaukee Admirals in scoring so far this season with 10 goals in 32 games, and he's tied for third in total points with 17.

The only real knock against Rienhart this season is his team-worst minus-10 rating, which means he's still struggling with the defensive side of his game, something he will need to work on before he can expect to see any time at the NHL level. At just 23 years old, Reinhart still has plenty of time to make it to the next level, but considering he was drafted five years ago (third-round pick in 2010), it's taken longer for him to graduate to the big leagues than anyone expected.

Reinhart's demotion could signal that one of the Flames' injured players is preparing for a return over the weekend. The 22-year-old center went without a point and posted a minus-3 rating over four games with the parent club.

The Flames recalled Reinhart from AHL Adirondak on Monday. Reinhart had a good chance to make the Flames out of training camp, but ended up being one of the last players cut. As expected, he'll get a chance to prove himself with the big club now after racking up 21 goals and 42 assists in 66 games in the AHL last season.
