Joe Corvo scored a power-play goal Tuesday night to give Carolina a 1-0 lead early in the first period, but the Hurricanes ended up losing 5-3 to Pittsburgh.

Fellow Canes defenseman Bobby Sanguinetti also scored in the contest and so did forward Riley Nash. Jordan and Eric Staal chipped in with an assist each in the defeat.

Joe Corvo (lower body) has been activated from injured reserve.

Corvo has been out of commission since March 16th, but it looks like he'll return Tuesday night against Winnipeg.

Corvo has missed the Hurricanes last three games with a lower-body injury. He has 11 points in 23 games. He should be back on the Carolina blueline tomorrow.
