Jaromir Jagr will play for the Czech Republic in the 2014 World Championship.

Jagr was initially hesitant to play in the tournament because he's scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent, so an injury could cost him dearly. He has 25 goals and 58 points in 60 career World Championship games.

Jaromir Jagr reiterated that he'd like to re-sign with the Devils.

"We have to wait and see whatever my agent and Lou talk about," Jagr said. "I like it here a lot, no question about it. At my age, it's pretty tough to change teams year after year. It took me at least 15, 20 games just to get used to the players. It's not easy to play in this league plus you have to get used to a new system, new players. It's very tough for me and I don't have that many games left. So, why waste 20 extra games? But we will see." Jagr led the team in scoring with 67 points in 82 games this past season.

With two assists from Sunday giving him 1,050 in his fantastic NHL career, Jaromir Jagr passed Gordie Howe for eighth all-time in that category on Sunday.

He helped the New Jersey Devils beat the Boston Bruins 3-2. Jagr now has 1,755 career points, tying him for sixth all-time with Steve Yzerman. Jagr may be 42, but he's showing he can play without age caveats; he capped off an excellent 24 goal, 67-point season today, leading all Devils and tying him with Chris Kunitz for 26th in the NHL.

Jaromir Jagr notched his 65th point of the season, an assist, during the Devils loss to the Islanders in a shootout on Friday night.

The team's MVP has 24 goals and 41 assists through 81 games. Jagr was going through a cold spell with a five game pointless slump and points in just one of his previous 10 games before Friday night's contest.

The New Jersey Devils players picked Jaromir Jagr as the team's MVP.

Jagr has 24 goals and a team-leading 64 points in 79 games this season. He's also been one of the most team's most vocal members, serving as both a cheerleader and, when the occasional called for it, critic. Jagr's is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, but the Devils are likely to offer the 42-year-old forward an extension.

Jaromir Jagr was held without a point in his fourth straight game in Monday's loss to the Flames by a score of 1-0.

It's hard to say that Jagr is losing steam as the season winds down after he amassed 14 points in 15 games during March. His four shots in the contest trailed only Andy Greene (six) for most on the team in the defeat.

Jaromir Jagr wasn't happy with the Devils' effort in their 6-3 victory over Florida on Monday.

"I don't know what's wrong," Jagr said. "We had a 3-0 lead and it could be (bleep)ing 5-0 lead. We played like it's a (bleep)ing preseason game." Jagr played a huge role in their victory with a goal and three assists. He hasn't been shy about sharing his feelings as a member of the Devils and he has every reason to be passionate given that the team is barely holding onto hope in the battle for a playoff spot.

Devils right wing Jaromir Jagr is in the NHL's top 10 all-time in goals (704, 7th), assists (1,044, 9th) and points (1,748, 7th), and he got there by burning the Islanders more than any other team.

The most goals he's scored against any team is 61 in 101 games versus the Isles. That's 19 more than he's scored against anyone else, as Philadelphia and Buffalo are next on his goal hit list with 42. Jagr's 88 assists and 149 points against the Isles also are his most any other team. This season, Jagr had a goal and two assists in the first three Devils-Isles games. The Devils visit the Isles tonight.

Jaromir Jagr thinks the New Jersey Devils have put themselves in a position to do something special.

While Jagr would obviously rather it didn't come to this, the Devils need to win almost all - if not all - of their final 10 games to make the playoffs. The flip side in his mind is that they've set themselves up for a potential storybook finish. "At least it's exciting," Jagr said. "That's the way I look at it. It would be something to remember. Something special." The Devils will play against Phoenix on Thursday.
