Gallagher potted the game-winning goal in Tuesday's 3-1 victory over the Islanders.

It's the second game-winner in as many games for Gallagher, and his third of the season. Though just 22 years old, Gallagher has shown plenty of promise that he'll be a mainstay in the Habs' top six for seasons to come, as he's already produced 88 points in 160 career games. A major breakout doesn't look as though it will materialize this season, but Gallagher may have a 60-point campaign or two in him before his career comes to a close.

Gallagher scored his seventh goal of the season, had an assist, and recorded five shots on goal in Friday's loss to the Blackhawks.

Gallagher is now up to 15 points in 28 games this season, to go with a plus-1 rating. The 22-year-old is a reliable fantasy option on track for a 20-goal, 40-point season.

Gallagher scored his sixth goal of the season in Saturday night's 4-3 shootout loss to Buffalo. Earlier in the day, Gallagher signed a six-year contract extension with Montreal.

There was a bit of delayed gratification as the goal was initially ruled a non-goal, but a video review at the NHL offices in Toronto reversed the on-ice call. After a nine-game pointless drought, Gallagher now has eight points in the previous 11 games.

Gallagher agreed to a six-year, $22.5 million contract extension with the Canadiens on Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.

Still just 22, Gallagher has put up 39 goals, 42 assists and a plus-16 rating in 148 career games at the NHL level, including five goals, seven assists and a plus-2 in 23 games this season. The $3.75 million per year the Habs will be paying Gallagher on average over the next six seasons already looks team-friendly, but the contract could prove a steal for Montreal in the years ahead.

Gallagher set up both Montreal goals in a 2-0 win over Boston on Saturday night.

He's chugging along at about the same pace he delivered last year (41 points in 81 games). We'd like to see a bit more growth in his game and it might just be coming -- seven of those 12 points have come in his last eight games. Take advantage -- he might even be available at a slightly depressed rate if you can snag him in a trade.

Gallagher recorded a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.

After snapping out of a nine game drought without a point, Gallagher has recorded five points in his last five games. He's been very streaky as his other five points this season came in a three game span so it's been boom or bust for the 22-year-old. Still, at 10 points through 19 games he's just about on pace with last season's 41 points.

Gallagher scored the first goal in Saturday night's 4-1 win over the Wild. The point snapped a nine-game scoreless drought.

Gallagher's been feeling the drought and pressing, but he continues to play the same way and got rewarded Saturday.

Gallagher took a minus-3 rating and attempted two shots on goal over 15:12 of ice time in Sunday's loss to the Flames.

The plus/minus damage isn't particularly worrisome in a game that several Habs took big negatives, but the 22-year-old's lack of point production warrants more concern. Aside from totaling five points over a three-game span from Oct. 11-16, Gallagher has been held off the scoresheet entirely on the season. His point drought currently sits at seven games.

Gallagher scored two goals and added a power-play assist in Thursday's win over Boston.

That's points in three straight for Gallagher as he takes aim at building on last season's 41-point output. It'd be nice to see him get a little more ice time, though, as the lack of heavy minutes will keep Gallagher from piling up huge point totals often. On the flip side, it'll also help keep the undersized winger healthy.

Gallagher scored his first goal of the season in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Lightning.

Gally was just about the only bright spot for the Habs in the beatdown, as he was one of just three Canadiens -- joining linemates Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais -- to skate to a plus-rating (plus-1). Gallagher also fired two shots on net, laid two hits and spent 2:36 on the power play.
