Gallagher set up both Montreal goals in a 2-0 win over Boston on Saturday night.

He's chugging along at about the same pace he delivered last year (41 points in 81 games). We'd like to see a bit more growth in his game and it might just be coming -- seven of those 12 points have come in his last eight games. Take advantage -- he might even be available at a slightly depressed rate if you can snag him in a trade.

Gallagher recorded a goal and an assist in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Red Wings.

After snapping out of a nine game drought without a point, Gallagher has recorded five points in his last five games. He's been very streaky as his other five points this season came in a three game span so it's been boom or bust for the 22-year-old. Still, at 10 points through 19 games he's just about on pace with last season's 41 points.

Gallagher scored the first goal in Saturday night's 4-1 win over the Wild. The point snapped a nine-game scoreless drought.

Gallagher's been feeling the drought and pressing, but he continues to play the same way and got rewarded Saturday.

Gallagher took a minus-3 rating and attempted two shots on goal over 15:12 of ice time in Sunday's loss to the Flames.

The plus/minus damage isn't particularly worrisome in a game that several Habs took big negatives, but the 22-year-old's lack of point production warrants more concern. Aside from totaling five points over a three-game span from Oct. 11-16, Gallagher has been held off the scoresheet entirely on the season. His point drought currently sits at seven games.

Gallagher scored two goals and added a power-play assist in Thursday's win over Boston.

That's points in three straight for Gallagher as he takes aim at building on last season's 41-point output. It'd be nice to see him get a little more ice time, though, as the lack of heavy minutes will keep Gallagher from piling up huge point totals often. On the flip side, it'll also help keep the undersized winger healthy.

Gallagher scored his first goal of the season in Sunday's 7-1 loss to the Lightning.

Gally was just about the only bright spot for the Habs in the beatdown, as he was one of just three Canadiens -- joining linemates Max Pacioretty and David Desharnais -- to skate to a plus-rating (plus-1). Gallagher also fired two shots on net, laid two hits and spent 2:36 on the power play.

Gallagher's third-period assist Saturday night was his first point of the season.

Gallagher had begun the season on the second line, but was promoted to the top unit early in the second game. It turns out the second line has been the hottest out of the gate while the top line's been quiet. Gallagher doesn't necessarily need to score to make an impact, but the Habs will eventually need Max Pacioretty, David Desharnais and Gallagher to join in on the fun of the team's 3-0 start.

Gallagher scored a shootout goal to clinch Thursday night's 2-1 win over Washington. He had four shots on net and a hit while skating 14:40.

Gallagher's night included 4:15 on the man advantage and a promotion to the top line, replacing P.A. Parenteau, in head coach Michel Therrien's first line tweak of the season.

Brendan Gallagher and some of his teammates wouldn't be surprised to see Derek Stepan (broken jaw) play in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final on Sunday night.

Stepan took a high hit from Brandon Prust in the first period of Game 3, left for concussion testing and ended up playing the rest of the tilt with the injury that required surgery. Stepan was still in the hospital recovering Saturday, so he didn't practice. Even though Rangers coach Alain Vigneault called it "unlikely" that Stepan plays, some of the Habs aren't believing it. "We're 100% expecting him to play," said Gallagher. "He got up yapping and yelling. I'm sure the jaw doesn't hurt too much."

Brendan Gallagher is putting together quite impressive numbers in his second NHL post-season.

After managing just two goals in five games last year against Ottawa, the speedy 22 year old has put up four goals and 10 points so far in 14 games. The Habs need the youngster to continue contributing offensively to overcome a 2-1 series deficit to the Rangers in the East Final.
