Matt Frattin RW LA 4 Days
Matt Frattin played only 7:06 minutes on Saturday, a career low.
Frattin has not played a lot since returning from a lower body injury three games ago as he sat out four straight games. He is averaging only 8:23 minutes per game since he came back earlier in the week and with only two goals and six points in 25 games, it is impossible to recommend him in fantasy pools.

The Los Angeles Kings have had only one goal scored from their bottom six forwards in the last five games.
That goal was scored by the injured Matt Frattin who scored during the power play so in fact the Kings have received no goals in that time frame in even strength situations. Frattin has two goals and six points in 22 games with a minus-seven rating. He will not play on Monday.

Los Angeles forward Matt Frattin missed practice Friday, excused for what Kings coach Darryl Sutter called "maintenance."
But Frattin's absence could just as well have been blamed on exhaustion after he skated a season-high 17 minutes and 31 seconds in Thursday's loss. "He's supposed to produce. If he doesn't, so what?" Sutter said. "His ice time has went from not dressed to eight minutes [to] 17 minutes, based on performance. We're not babying guys. They've got to perform. And if they're banged up, even more so." Frattin has definitely been banged up, playing Thursday with a full face shield and added jaw protection after needing 14 stitches to close a wound sustained when Tampa Bay's Pierre-Cedric Labrie sliced him with a stick earlier in the week. "Based on how he played [Thursday], he should get hit in the mouth every game," Sutter joked.

Matt Frattin showed signs of improvement during Monday's game.
Frattin was a healthy scratch on Saturday. "I watched the first period with him, all the shifts this morning. He was much better last night," Kings coach Darryl Sutter said. "I know the young guys put pressure on themselves to score or think that they're not doing their job if they don't score, but if you can just show 'em the detail in the game and be smart enough to learn from that, then he gets to be better." Frattin has no goals and three assists in nine games this season.

Forward Matt Frattin, obtained by Los Angeles from Toronto in the Jonathan Bernier deal, is now intimately familiar with the repercussions of a couple of miscues while playing for Kings coach Darryl Sutter.
Frattin was among the Kings who lapsed in allowing Nashville's Matt Cullen to score a first-period goal Thursday. And when a similar Predators pass got by Frattin and pressured Kings' defenders about midway through the third period, he found his ice time in the Kings' 2-1 shootout victory down to 2 minutes, 22 seconds after the second intermission. Frattin, 25, is goalless with three assists through eight games for the Kings (5-3), and his goal differential of minus-five is the worst among Kings forwards. He has only one shot on net in the past three games. Although Sutter said Friday he didn't bench Frattin for any specific reason, Frattin said it was made clear to him afterward, with an assistant coach telling him, "I can't play you if this is going to happen this late in the game and the score's 1-1."
