The lower-body issue kept Clutterbuck out for a game earlier in the week, but it didn't take long for the fourth-liner to return to his usual duties. He chipped in three hits on the afternoon to boost his total to 110 for the season, good for second in the league behind only teammate Matt Martin.

Clutterbuck's presence in the lineup probably wouldn't have made a difference in a game in which the Isles ended up losing by three goals. That being said, Clutterbuck is still a valued member of the team's bottom six, so they will hope to have him back healthy in time for Tuesday's rematch with the Bolts in Long Island.

Clutterbuck sustained a lower-body injury in Friday's win over the Panthers and will be a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against the Lightning.

The report suggests Clutterbuck "tweaked something" Friday, but the fact that he's being viewed as a game-time decision rather than being ruled outright suggests it's not anything especially serious. There's still a good chance the Islanders will rest Clutterbuck in an attempt to afford him some additional healing time, and if that's the case, look for Cory Conacher to fill his spot in the lineup Saturday.
