Ryane Clowe LW NYR 1 Month
While Marc Staal practiced with the New York Rangers on Saturday, fellow banged-up players Ryane Clowe and Darroll Powe did not.
Some believe that Clowe is dealing with a concussion related to a boarding hit by Jason Chimera in Game 5. Clowe suffered from a head injury in late April, so a recurrence would be of serious concern. He was finding a comfortable place with the Rangers following a trade, yet these issues could label him as a high risk in free agency this summer.

The buzz out of New York is that Ryane Clowe has indeed sustained another concussion.
There is no official confirmation as of yet, but all signs are pointing to the fact that Clowe sustained a concussion when his head hit the glass after being checked by the Capitals' Jason Chimera. If that is in fact the case, we doubt we will see Clowe in action again this season. Stay tuned for further updates.

The New York Rangers have revealed that Ryane Clowe will miss the remainder of Game 6 with an undisclosed injury.
The suspicion is that Clowe sustained the injury when Washington's Jason Chimera hit him into the boards from behind. Unfortunately, Clowe's head hit the glass and he had recently returned from what was believed to be a concussion.

Ryane Clowe notched an assist and four hits in his return to New York's lineup Wednesday in Game 4.
He logged 12:19 of ice time after being sidelined with a possible concussion and finished with a minus-1 rating in a 4-3 win for the Rangers. Clowe's grit and leadership should help the team in what has become a very tight series against the Capitals. Both teams have two wins apiece with Game 5 set for Friday night back in Washington.

Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) went through some contact drills at practice Tuesday.
Clowe sat out Monday after referring to himself as a game-time decision, but contact drills are normally a sign that a player is pretty close to returning to the lineup. The Rangers, however, would not update the winger's status and chances are he'll be a game-time call again for Wednesday's Game 4. Stay tuned.

Ryane Clowe (undisclosed) will not play in Monday's Game 3.
Clowe had referred to himself as a game-time decision. He hasn't played April 25 with an injury that could be a concussion. While Clowe won't play tonight, it appears he's knocking on the door of a return and could be back in the lineup for Game 4.

Ryane Clowe referred to himself as a game-time decision for Game 3 Monday night.
"Obviously you guys [the media] want to know if I'm going to play," he said after the team's optional morning skate. "I'm still not sure about that." He may get back into the lineup though because he exited the ice with the rest of the regulars, while Arron Asham stayed out for a few minutes extra minutes of work. This could mean that Clowe is in and Asham is out, but the skate was optional so it's harder to say.

The New York Rangers might get Ryane Clowe back in the lineup for a big Game 3 against the Washington Capitals on Monday.
The Rangers could use all the help they can get after scoring just a single goal in two games. The series shifts to Madison Square Garden, so that might help, but having a big body like Clowe could make a difference too.
