Bouma handed out a pair of assists in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Ducks.

Bouma was also one of just two Flames to skate to a plus-rating (plus-2) in the contest. This is the third multi-point effort for Bouma in the last six games, giving him seven points during that span. His little scoring blitz deserves some attention in the deepest leagues, but with 17 points in 45 games and a previous career high of 15 points in three NHL seasons, any ideas of Bouma breaking out as a major offensive contributor -- at least at this point -- are probably best left for dreamland.

Bouma collected two assists and went plus-3, adding six hits in Thursday's win over the Coyotes.

He hasn't taken a shot on goal in either of the last two games, and yet Bouma's racked up five assists in the last three; he's gone plus-5 with nine PIM and 16 hits in that span to boot. His ice time spiked sharply Tuesday, as Bouma led all Calgary forwards in that category by skating 20:17.

Bouma racked up three assists in a 6-5 loss to the visiting Panthers on Friday.

Bouma's surprising three-point outburst effectively increased his season point total by 30 percent, as he now has 13 points in 40 games. He's mostly irrelevant with 11 other Flames ahead of him in terms of total points, so there's no reason to get excited about the 2008 third-round pick.

Bouma will be a healthy scratch Friday against the Penguins, Kristen Odland of the Calgary Herald reports.

Bouma will give way to Matt Stajan, who himself was a healthy scratch for the Flames' previous game. It will be just the second time Bouma will sit out this season, as he previously missed a contest in October due to a facial injury. The forward has five goals and nine points in 29 games.

Bouma potted his fifth goal of the season and added an assist in Saturday's win over Ottawa.

Bouma has collected four points (two goals) in his last four games and is up to eight points in 18 games on the season. Although the Flames' scoring has been spread out this season, Bouma is currently playing on the fourth line, seeing limited minutes and no power-play time. Considering the 24-year-old only registered five goals and 15 points in 2013-14, Bouma is well on his way to a career year in 2014-15.

Bouma contributed a goal and an assist in the Flames' 6-4 win over the Panthers.

During an afternoon in which a total of eight players posted multi-point outings, it was Bouma who was awarded the game's first star. He found twine on a shot from the slot with 2:18 remaining in the contest to break a 4-4 tie and lift the Flames to another victory. After going without a point in his first 10 games of the season, Bouma has now tallied three goals and an assist over his last four contests.

Bouma scored his first goal of the season Thursday in a 5-0 victory against Carolina.

Amongst quite a bit of young scoring talent, Bouma is not going to be expected to contribute all that much on the offensive end. He has two points in eight games thus far.

Bouma (face) returned to the Flames' lineup Friday against the Blue Jackets.

Bouma was dealing with a facial injury that held him out of Wednesday's contest, but took the ice in morning skate Friday and is back in the lineup.

Bouma (face) was on the ice for Friday's morning skate, Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun reports.

Coach Bob Hartley said that the Flames are still pondering a number of game-time decisions for Friday's tilt with the Blue Jackets, so despite his presence at morning skate, there's no guarantee Bouma will suit up for the game. A concussion has already been ruled out for Bouma, but his facial injuries could still be bothersome enough to send him to the press box for a second straight contest.

Bouma has a facial injury and will not play Wednesday, the Calgary Sun's Randy Sportak reports.

It was reported earlier today that he would take the ice Wednesday, but his status apparently changed. He does not have a concussion, but the facial injury will hold him out and he should be considered day-to-day.
