Jeff Carter continued to produce for Los Angeles Sunday night, scoring two goals and adding an assist en route to the Kings' 4-2 victory over the Oilers in Edmonton.

Carter's goals were his 23rd and 24th of the season. The second goal came on a power play. Carter's assist was his 19th of the season. The all-star forward also received a 10-minute misconduct during the third period. Other scorers for the Kings Sunday were Alec Martinez (seventh) and Trevor Lewis (third).

"It almost feels like there's more room over there, in the NHL. The ice is smaller but I feel like guys are a little more spread out," he said. "They force more on the boards. Where here, you get the puck on the wall, teams kind of back off and give you that space on the wall and just clog up the middle. It's a little bit different." It's been an adjustment for players accustomed to the North American-sized arenas and there has been some suffocating defense displayed in the middle of the ice throughout the tournament.

Jeff Carter scored a hat trick in under 12 minutes against Austria.

Canada has a 6-0 lead over Austria after two periods. They've been night and day compared to their sluggish start against Norway on Thursday. Carter had no points and three shots on goal in 14:48 minutes versus Norway.
