The Penguins sent Carl Sneep to Dallas on Thursday for a conditional draft pick.

Sneep has played the majority of the 2012-13 campaign with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL, where he posted 15 points and 22 penalty minutes in 29 games. He dressed in one game with Pittsburgh last season, but that is his only NHL experience to date.

Carl Sneep has inked a one-year, two-way deal with the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Sneep will earn $525,000 if he spends the 2012-13 campaign in the NHL. Sneep had an assist in his NHL debut on Dec. 17, 2011. He also had 10 points in 40 games with the AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins.

Sneep registered an assist in his first NHL game. He probably comes back up for a few more games due to the injuries on the blue line.
