Zac Rinaldo has agreed to a two-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers.

In 32 games this year, Rinaldo has posted five points and 85 penalty minutes along with 143 hits. He is expected to miss the rest of the regular season after suffering a high ankle sprain on April 3 against Montreal.

Zac Rinaldo has a high-ankle sprain and will be sidelined indefinitely.

Rinaldo was injured during Wednesday night's game. High-ankle sprains are notoriously painful and difficult to rush back from. It's entirely possible, based on what happens with the Flyers' playoff chances, Rinaldo has played his last game this season.

Rinaldo played just 5:06 and had a fighting major before leaving the game against the Canadiens. The enforcer has five points and 80 penalty minutes this year.
