Eakin tallied two goals, one shorthanded and one on the power play, and an assist in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.

Eakin's three-point night brings his total to 21 for the season (nine goals) through 42 games. The 23-year-old is on track to top his current career-high of 35 points from last season, but his production likely won't be steady enough to warrant fantasy consideration outside of deeper formats.

Eakin registered a goal and assist in the Stars' 6-0 win over the Coyotes on Wednesday.

Eakin's assist came on the power play, marking just his second point with the man advantage on the season. He once enjoyed a perch on the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin, but has since settled back in as the Stars' third-line center. He's certainly competent in that role, but it won't lend itself to overwhelming point totals.

Eakin added an assist in the Stars 3-2 win over the Rangers on Monday.

Eakin continues to produce at a similar rate to last year. He's dependable, though not exciting. If he was a carnival ride, he'd be the tilt-a-whirl. You know it'll be there and you know exactly how it's going to go. 32 games into the season he has six goals and eight assists.

Eakin had an assist on both Dallas goals in Friday's 2-1 win over Calgary.

That gives Eakin 13 points on the season (6-7-13) and keeps him on pace to do just slightly better than last season, when he set personal records in goals, assists, and shots.

Eakin had a power play goal on his only show in Saturday's 4-1 win over Montreal.

Eakin has bounced around some lines since late November as the Stars continue to search for three lines that can get going at the same time. The most regular combination has seen Eakin on the third line and he was back there Saturday -- with Ryan Garbutt and Antoine Roussel, even though he got a shot playing on the top line for a bit in November.

Eakin chipped in two assists in Saturday's victory over the Sharks.

Eakin has fit in quite well while playing on the top line with Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin for the last three games, producing two goals and three assists. Given the immense talents of the two players flanking him, there's reason to think Eakin can continue producing at a decent rate while he remains on the top line. Those in search of forward help would be wise to take a flier on Eakin in the event coach Lindy Ruff decides to keep him with the top trio for the balance of the season.

Eakin scored a goal for the second consecutive game in Thursday's win over the Coyotes.

After a nine-game scoring skid, Eakin's found his offensive game again, but that's come along with mighty struggles in faceoffs -- he's won just 15 of 44 over the last two games. Still, most fantasy formats are more concerned with the points, and Eakin should put up enough of those to be viable in deep formats.

Eakin contributed a goal and assist in Tuesday's loss to the Hurricanes.

Though the Stars ended up taking the loss, Eakin's performance was impressive enough for coach Lindy Ruff to give him a look as the top-line center alongside Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin at Wednesday's practice, according to Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News. Eakin's assist Tuesday came on a Seguin goal, while Benn helped set up Eakin's third-period shorthanded marker. If trio can find similar success together Thursday against the Coyotes, Eakin could end up enjoying some long-term run on the top line.
