Ian Cole scored a goal and added an assist for the Blues in Thursday's 2-1 win over Nashville.

Ian Cole scored in the NHL on Friday for the first time since Dec. 8, 2011.
Cole didn't want to celebrate the feat because the Blues still suffered a 6-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks. It's worth adding that he has found the back of the net in the AHL over the last two years. Either way, he doesn't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.

Ian Cole will fill in on St. Louis' back end, while Jordan Leopold is sidelined with a hand injury.
"He's a good player," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "He's really helped himself here by his attitude and everything. He's ready to go. I don't see us missing a beat." Cole has dressed in three games for the Blues this campaign, but he'll play much more now that Leopold is slated to miss at least two months.

The St. Louis Blues have re-signed Ian Cole to a two-year contract, a source tells Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
Cole played just 15 games for the Blues this season, registering one assist, 10 penalty minutes and a minus-4 rating. The new deal will pay him $1.65 million over two years and is a one-way contract. Cole is unlikely to have much fantasy value going forward.
