Callahan scored a goal and added two assists in a 7-4 win over Columbus on Saturday night. One of the assists came on the power play.

He has nine points in nine games this season. He'll bring value if he finds a way to stay healthy.

Callahan (lower body) scored his fourth goal of the season in his return to the lineup Saturday against the Capitals.

After missing the Bolts' previous five games with the injury, Callahan quickly reintegrated himself into the team's attack, redirecting a Brian Boyle pass into the net for the game's first goal. He nearly notched a second tally later in the contest, but goalie Braden Holtby made a nice save to deny him. Callahan has six points in seven games this season and could be in line for a career season while he remains entrenched in a top-six role.

Callahan (lower body) has formally been activated from injured reserve.

As expected, Callahan will return to the ice for Saturday's contest against the Capitals. He missed five games due to the lower-body injury.

Callahan (lower body) declared himself ready to return to the lineup Saturday against the Capitals, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The Bolts already reassigned Cedric Paquette back to AHL Syracuse on Friday, clearing the way for Callahan's activation from IR prior to Saturday's game. The 29-year-old practiced fully Friday, and so long as nothing bothers him at Saturday's morning skate, he'll reenter the lineup for the first time in five games. Look for him to claim a spot on the Bolts' second line, joining Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat.

Callahan (lower body) may be able to play in Saturday's game against the Capitals, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.

Callahan skated Tuesday and was upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day, so it appeared there was a chance he could play Tuesday night. However, it appears he will miss at least the next two games before potentially returning to action Saturday.

Callahan (lower body) is now considered day-to-day rather than week-to-week, according to Michelle Gingras of the Lightning's website.

Callahan was able to take part in Tuesday's morning skate, and the change in his injury designation indicates he is nearing a return. It's not clear if he is ready to take the ice Tuesday night, but expect an update on his status whenever the Lightning remove him from injured reserve.

Callahan (lower body) was moved to injured reserve Saturday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

The placement on IR will be retroactive to Callahan's most-recent game on Oct. 20, allowing the forward to return to action as soon as the team's medical staff deems him fit to play. Callahan was able to get in a skate Friday, but because the Bolts are labeling his injury as week-to-week, there's no guarantee that he'll be back in action within a few games.

Callahan (lower body) skated on his own after Friday's morning session, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Callahan won't be an option Friday against the Jets and perhaps a few more games beyond that, but he noted after the skate that he's been pleased with the progress he's made in the recovery from the injury. He'll still have to incorporate some more additional activities into his workouts before receiving clearance to play.

Coach Jon Cooper said Tuesday that the Lightning are viewing Callahan's lower-body injury as a week-to-week concern, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Cooper did acknowledge that if Callahan shows positive progress in the next couple of days, he could receive an upgrade to "day-to-day" status, but for now, the Bolts appear to be proceeding with the idea that the forward will be out for multiple games. Callahan has never been a high-end fantasy asset with only one 50-point season on his resume, but he had been one of Tampa's top producers through the team's first six games, tallying three goals and two assists. Tyler Johnson is expected to get the first crack at filling in for Callahan on the Steven Stamkos-Ondrej Palat line.

Callahan (lower body) appears unlikely to play Tuesday versus the Flames, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Coach Jon Cooper said on Monday that both Callahan and Alex Killorn (undisclosed) would need miraculous recoveries in order to return to play Tuesday, leaving serious doubt about the availability of both players. The Bolts declined to hold a morning skate Tuesday, so Callahan's status likely won't be officially known until pregame warmups.
