Ryan Callahan, Brad Richards and Derek Stepan had two-point games as the New York Rangers beat the New Jersey Devils 4-1 on Sunday.

Callahan scored two goals, Richards had two assists while Stepan had a tally and a helper in that important victory for the Rangers. While the team isn't guaranteed to make the playoffs, winning games like this makes a big difference.

Ryan Callahan potted a shorthanded goal and also registered three assists in the Rangers' 4-2 win over the Jets Monday night.

It's been a little bit of a struggle for Callahan offensively this year with 19 points in 32 games. However, he's still a valuable commodity in leagues that also reward hits and shorthanded points as scoring categories. He's also worth a look in 12-team leagues standard formats.

Ryan Callahan has issued a statement in response for former teammate Sean Avery's calls to fire Rangers coach John Tortorella.

"Sean Avery's comments solely represent his own thoughts and opinions," Callahan said. "He did not speak for us as a team when he was here and certainly does not now." Avery's demands that they "fire this clown" is a story primarily because the Rangers have gone from being serious Stanley Cup contenders to a team that might not even be able to make the playoffs. The best way for the Rangers to change the story would be with a win, although at this point even just scoring a goal would be a step up for them.

Ryan Callahan scored his ninth goal of the campaign Thursday, but the Rangers were beaten by Winnipeg by a score of 3-1.

Callahan's nine goals are respectable, but with only four assists in 23 contests he has failed to live up to his preseason expectations. Derek Stepan and Ryan McDonagh picked up assists on the Blueshirts' lone goal.

With the return of Brad Richards to the lineup the Rangers shuffled their top two lines against the Senators.

Derek Stepan centered the second unit with Ryan Callahan and Marian Gaborik on this wings, while Richards played between Rick Nash and Carl Hagelin on the first line. Both forward units had plenty of chances so it is likely that despite the loss to Ottawa, Ranger coach John Tortorella will leave these units intact.

Ryan Callahan scored for the fifth time this season in New York's 4-3 loss to Winnipeg Tuesday.

He filled the stat sheet well with seven shots and five hits versus the Jets. It's been a struggle for Callahan offensively this year, with only six points in 15 games, but he's still a valuable commodity in leagues that reward hits. Rangers defenseman Anton Stralman notched a goal and an assist in the losing effort.
