Daniel Sedin LW VAN 6 Days

Sedin dished out three helpers in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Oilers, skating to a plus-2 with two shots on goal.

The point-per-game surge continues for Daniel, who now has 19 points in 19 games. He's looking more and more like one of the bigger bounce-back picks this season, after the mediocrity of 2013-14's 47-point campaign dropped his stock in this season's fantasy drafts.

Sedin scored the game-winning goal in overtime and picked up a regulation assist Tuesday against the Senators.

The nice night snaps a fairly deep slump for Daniel, who'd managed no goals and two assists over his last six games. Despite that, he's still pulling nearly a point-per-game pace.

Sedin scored Thursday's game-winning goal against Montreal on an overtime power play off a feed from his brother Henrik.

It's just the winger's third goal of the year, but that modest total has been offset with nine assists, giving him a cool dozen points in 10 games so far. Although his goal-scoring production has been down over the last couple seasons, Daniel could return to his 30-goal ways this year, as the twins have looked revitalized.

Sedin netted a goal and an assist in Friday's loss to the Avalanche.

It was a horrible outing for the Canucks, but Sedin managed to be productive, also recording six shots on goal. He has looked great so far this season, sitting fifth in league scoring with two goals and 10 points in seven games. Keep rolling him, as he should continue to produce on a dynamic first line also featuring his brother Henrik and Radim Vrbata.

Sedin extended his early-season point streak to three games and six points Friday, notching a goal and an assist in a win over the Oilers.

Can you say "bounce back?" The twins have looked revitalized beside their new winger Radim Vrbata, as the trio have now hooked up for 17 points in Vancouver's first three games. After a disastrous season in 2013-14 under head coach John Tortorella that saw Sedin post his lowest point total in nearly a decade (47 in 73 games), the 34-year-old twins seem poised for a nice rebound this year.

Sedin dished out three assists in Saturday's win over the Oilers.

Though he attempted a team-high six shots on goal in the affair, Sedin offered his greatest contributions as a setup man, with Radim Vrbata and Linden Vey finishing off his passes for power-play tallies. Earlier in the game, Sedin was credited for his first helper on a shot attempt that was tipped home by brother Henrik, giving him 500 assists for his career.

Sedin racked up a pair of power-play assists in Friday's preseason win over Calgary.

Sedin's best work on Friday came in the final period, where he combined with brother Henrik to setup new linemate Radim Vrbata for his first goal with the Canucks. Sedin is coming off a disappointing 16-goal, 47 point campaign in 2013-2014, but is likely to bounce back this season with a former-35 goal scorer on his line. Sedin is nowhere near as bad as we saw this past season, and fantasy goers shouldn't hesitate to daft him in 2014-2015. He still possess all the necessary tools to be an elite fantasy threat.

Daniel Sedin spoke to the media on Monday and said he was fine after he was stretchered off the ice Sunday night.

He was checked out at the hospital and released late Sunday night after he was hit into the end boards by Calgary's Paul Byron. "I was scared because I felt something wasn't right," he said. "I hit my head into the glass and fell down and when I tried to lift my head I couldn't get it off the ice. It was scary, but I went to the hospital and everything looked good. So it feels okay today." He isn't expecting any lingering issues.

Vancouver forward Daniel Sedin was taken off the ice on a stretcher after an awkward hit into the side boards late in the second period in the Canucks' 5-1 rout of the visiting Calgary Flames Sunday night.

Sedin's head hit the glass after he was hit from behind by Flames forward Paul Byron, and he never got up on the ice. Sedin was moving his fingers but nothing else as medical trainer Mike Burnstein came off the bench and quickly called for a stretcher to take Sedin off the ice. Byron was given a five-minute major and a game misconduct for boarding. Sedin scored twice in the first period, his 15th and 16th goals of the season. Frank Corrado (first), Ryan Kesler (25th) and Yannick Weber (sixth) also scored for the Canucks, who ended their regular season with a nice win after a poor season in which they did not qualify for the playoffs.
